Anyone else on the BBS going to the game? I will be going with wife and kids. It will be my first time seeing Yao live. Too excited. Planning to bring a huge "Ming Dynasty Begins" sign.

I really really hope the Rox can pull off a win, but I really doubt it'll happen against the Kings. Van Gundy and the Rox need some more time, plus he's probly going to be making them practice pretty hard cause he wasn't too happy after the last game. Too bad the Rox bench is screwed up right now.

Obviously it's going to take time to overcome the bad habits that have been going on for years but I would be happy just to see them try to play as a team and make an effort not to keep on repeating things that have never worked.
EG and Boki are timid. They have got to be more aggressive on offense.
I'm sure that the Kings will win but I hope we can make a fight out of it even though it's the preseason.

I don't mind the losing right now since it's preseason, but I CAN'T STAND all these dumb people I know telling me the Rockets suck. You can't be a bigger Rocket fan than me, they know that, and they try to piss me off. Now on the other hand, if the Rockets continue to play like this once the regular season starts (and they wont cuz they are the best team in the NBA), I will go ahead and kill myself.

If the Rockets are still going to play up to their opponents, I'll call this their 'Break-Out' game.

0-8 in the preseason. Heads will roll right after the Denver opener.

Everyone predicted we 'd beat Port, Seattle, NO and we lost!
Everyone in this thread so far picks Sac ...

I will go with the odd and call Houston with a squeaker ... 140-138. :)

I'll go with a under squeaker of 58-56 Rockets.

Offense starts to turn things around while the deffense steps it up BIG.;)

    Go Rockets!! :)

    A Rox win: 102 - 89

A simple prediction, but feel free to cite after the game.

Ah man if only. I can't remember the last time the Rockets scored 140 in a game. It had to be the days with Clyde and Hakeem and that beautiful ball-handling the Rockets were famous for.

Keys for the Rockets to win:

    1. get transition defense!!!
    2. no backdoor cuts for the Kings
    3. defend 3-point shooters, ie, Peja Stokajavic
    4. no penetration, ie, Yao/Cato need to block shots
    5. Rockets: no hesitation to move the ball
