The Rox should win this, 92-85. Yao should control the paint but we have to stop their guards from getting the hot hand from outside. They're the 2nd best 3point shooting team in the league. If we contain Davis and make Wesley work on D(tough with Cat out) we should get the W, with NP. :)

For some reason, I can envision the Hornets double teaming Yao a lot this game, after his devestation of all the Spurs one on one defenders. So the key to winning here is for our guards and non-Yao players to realize the best times to cut to the basket, or to at least spread apart for the best spacing to give Yao someone to pass to out of the double team. If we can get just one guy (I'm looking in your direction, Glen Rice) to consistently hit his open shots from the outside, this should be a cakewalk.

We should win this, we had 2 days of practice to get used to running the Yao offense and getting the ball to the low post more efficiently. If we mix it up with a few Yao iso's in the post and Yao post then slashes to the basketball we will win. Our bench needs to be strong as usual and hopefully moochie keeps his good play when we need it. I look for EG to have a good game and mo taylor to get more shots to fall. This will not be a sloppy game. *crosses fingers*

I believe NO is 9-0 at home so far so I don't think it'll be as easy as you seem to think. Mashburn is playing awesome ball so far this year. So my guess is 88-87 Rox. Its time to even out those last second losses with a last second win.

I somehow feel that Hornets is the team to beat in the east this year after the playoff experience they got from the last few seasons. They reminds me of the old Portland team that went to two NBA finals. I am not sure about who is going to win this one but I think we are going to be physically overmatched. However, with the inside out play you don't need that much physical to win a game (Rember 93-94 finals vs. the Knicks?)

    Overtime 101-100 Houston.

I have to agree that this is not going to be a cakewalk. Any time you go to the crib of a team that has a 10-0 home record, you should not be overconfident and expect to win.

Its gonna be a tough one:

    Rockets: 87
    Hornets: 85

Hornet is tough to beat at home. I hope Rocket will handle their first loss this season.

Baron Davis played last night for the Hornets so I bet he plays. Mobley will not be playing, will play on Saturday versus the 76ers.

I think this will be a tough game for the Rockets. The Hornets play good interior defense with Campbell, Maglore and PJ Brown so it will be interesting to see how Ming fares in this game. If the Rockets can get a few shooters hot from the outside I think we can win this one. But as mentioned earlier, keep in mind that the Hornets are 9-0 at home this year so it will be tough!
