I will go out on a limb here and say that Francis will get his first triple double of the season tonight.

Uh oh, the heat doesnt have a winning record  you know what that means.... a hard test for the rockets. If we come out playing like the other team is the lakers in the final round of the playoffs we will win. If we come out playing like we have the winning record and they have the losing record so we should cruise and beat them we will lose.

A tough game despite what Miami's record is.

The Heat has always been a team that has had our number.

There is a part of me that feels that there is no way that the Rockets lose a 3rd game in a row, but at the same time, considering our history and how inconsistent this team is, I really have no idea what to expect tonight.

    Rockets win because:

We are playing the Miami Heat who are 6-17 this season....good lord Rockets, we are playing the Miami Heat!!! THis is your third straight sub-.500 team and if you lose to your third straight sub-.500 team, you can expect the Compaq Center to be most dead place in all of Houston!! If this team has any guts, any character, it will blow this team out.

But let's look at reality...we are playing Florida where this team seems to shrivel up right when it crosses the border. Eddie Jones is on fire and Yao's gonna face his most physical matchup of the year so far with Brian Grant.

Then again...this is the Miami Heat!! Riles has his team thinking the refs are out to get him. Yao holds a 9 inch height advantage and, did I mention this is the Miami Heat!!

    Rockets 91
    Heat 75

Tough game. You know Grant is going to push Yao around, and Eddie Jones is on fire. I think he'll get the better of Mobley. Best is a decent defensive player too, so Francis will play well, but he won't be amazing or anything.

I think we have to look for Griffin to dominate scrubs like Stepania, Malik Allen, Laphonso Ellis (if he's still there). We also need a big shooting game from Rice. But we know Butler is going to abuse him.

Hope Yao supasses my expectations of him for this game, like he's done before.

Sane, does Griffin ever dominate anyone? And besides, Stepania is that that much of a scrub...he sucks but then again, has Griffin shown us anything this season?

Time for this team to regroup.

    If Steve can get his head out of his a$$;

if KT can at least play....

or if Mo can at least play some minutes...

    then we can win.

Because Brian Grant will use Eddie Griffin like a patrol sock.

Dude, what do I have to do to be the first post?
Anyway, hopefully the players only meeting called on by Glen Rice will improve the team's intensity.

Very true, but he showed flashes last year, and I refuse to believe that he just lost "it", whatever "it" is. He's due for a breakout game, and with MoT and/or KT out, this is his chance to shine in big minutes. He just needs to be "meaner", like Gasol and Ming have become. He has to lose the "to good for this" attitude, start putting in the tremendous hard work, and use whatever strength he has 100%.

Brian grant is the only decent Big guy on the Heat, so either Ming does incredibly well, or Griffin.

On a side note, is it me, or would Eddie Jones (as a 3rd option) fit marvelously on this team?

The guy would be a great 3rd option on any team...great slasher, great defender, and can score when needed. But his ego was what got him run out of Laker-town (then again, how many of us would play second fiddle to a 19 year old). He still seems to have a bit of that ego (in Charlotte). IMO, Cuttino can be a poor-man's Eddie if he committed himself to defense. Hopefully, he loses his own ego and settles nicely into the 3rd option on this team. And it's better for the Rox to have the poor-man's Eddie: he's cheaper!!

I think this is going to be an interesting game. Two things:

    1. The Rockets are on a two game losing streak, loosing to two bad teams, and very ashamed of themselves, especially after what they acheived before that.

    2. Pat Riley got really pissed of at the refs, when they lost to the knicks, about how the refs hate him and how they love it that Riley is going down the gutter.

So I think this is going to be a really low scoring game, with a lot of foul calls and Stevie coming up big

Rocks will win cause we go in the Paint a bit and the Heat never do.

Hopefully for MManal sake Brian Grant and his 10 million dollar contract will got Nuts.

I am very worried about Butler v Rice, hopefully Kenny is playing and can play some 3.

All in All, Rockets will win and send Manny back to the Hangout!!

I truly think that Griff can be a true star in this league if he moves without the ball instead of just standing outside and waiting for a chance to jack up 3-pointers. Especially when he has a great passing big man in Yao, he can just be the post feeder and make strong hard cuts to the basket and get at least 2-3 easy layups per game. Right now all I see Griffin doing is that he just stands at the top of the key and waits for a three point shot. It's bad to say this as a Rocks fan but I think that if Griffin was on a team like the Kings, then he'd be averaging 20 points a game in their type of offense.

As far as Eddie Jones, he would be the best fit at shooting guard for us...a guy who moves constantly without the ball and doesn't demand 20 shots a game and puts up around 20 points a game is EXACTLY what we need.

Time for Rockets to play team ball again. Time for the ball to go into Yao and then back out to the guards. Time for Yao to score another 30 point game. Time for Rockets to beat a sorry team on the road. Time to cheer again. please:rolleyes:

    120-94 Rox win.

I never proposed a trade before, however, if we could not get a W from that pathetic heat after last two games...break it up.
