Rice tries to drive when you crowd him, to get a turnaround or pullup J. If he doesn't stumble, it can be effective, but Artest would stop all that.

Good thought about Mobley or whoever then being freed to score, but Artest's off the ball steals would still be in effect.

As far as O'Neal vs. Griffin, I really hope you're right and I'm wrong about the 30 vs. 10. BTW Sane, I was one of the few kinda with you on the infamous KT for Artest thread started by that guy who posted like his first 100 posts there! I just wasn't completely onboard with it because of character issues with the guy.

Artest is a problem. He can be a distraction, btu certain coaches and certain players can transfer that player's energy (positive or negative) onto the court. Micheal Jordan is one of those players (Rodman) and Rudy T is one of those coaches.

Good point about Rice. He does try to drive sometimes, but not often enough for Artest to strip him continually. I'm banking on Rice's experience guiding him better than that.

One thing about Griffin: he shines when he's being watched. J O'Neal is definitely strong, but he's not OVERWHELMINGLY strong like Brian Grant or Tim Duncan or Karl Malone. Griffin's length/shotblocking will be a factor. I know it. If he gets extended minutes, and gets going early, it's our game.

They really have no one certain to score, but O'Neal. As long as we hold them all to AT LEAST their average, we'll play better than average. We are at home afterall. We are on TV (we know how our team loves that).

Rockets will shine. Pacers can't match our firepower.

I guess Eddie Griffin might start tonight. I just heard on NBA league Pass that there might be a trade that will send Kenny Thomas to the 76ers and Houston received James Posey from Denver in a three team trades. They said it might go down very soon (could be tonight).

    Basketball...are you serious?!?!

James Posey is a very good defender, underrated scorer. I really like that guy and I think he'd be great with the Rockets. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    Posey...Posey....Posey....Posey!!!

    :D

These are the kind of stats the Rox should see to optimize our team's potential. They are possible only if we run a selfless offense and funnel the ball through the big man.

    Francis: 18 pts, 7 reb, 8 assists, 2 stls
    Mobley: 18 pts, 4 reb, 5 assists
    Rice: 14 pts, 5 reb, 2 assists
    Griffin: 15 pts, 8 reb, 2 blocks
    Yao: 25 pts, 13 reb, 4 assists, 3 blocks

Alright so we got Posey, which means MoT is playing tonight...He has to be recovered from the flu by now but will he be in game shape. If he had the flu, he probably didn't practice. Are we gonna see some Cato and Yao out there tonight?

This may be a game we lose but at the end of the day, everyone with the Rockets will be pretty happy!

I hope the Rockets can pull this win off..it'll really help their confidence since the Pacers are one of the best teams in the East right now..which doesn't say much..I've been some what disappointed at the Rockets after their HUGE win over the Kings and then some lack luster 3 game performances..I hope they snap out of the funk.

Haha Sage...all I gotta say is

"A Ron Artest type player is acquired without giving up anyone named Eddie or Cuttino"

Now you know who we're gonna put on Kobe in the playoffs

Why both Franchise and Ming have no shots apart from FT after seven minutes?

Yao block 1 O'Neal's shot and steal a ball from him. But he isn't guarding him, is he?
