Big game. Kings just slaughtered the Spurs in San Antonio and the Rockets history against Sacramento shows Houston hasn't beaten this team since March 2, 2000 -- we've lost 9 straight to them and 12 of our last 13 (ironically this comes after the Rockets - namely Hakeem -- dominated the Kings for 12 straight wins).

Again, big game.

That (Spurs game) was just a scrimmage to get them ready for the Rox. We take this one cause it's time, I thought the Spurs had our number and we showed them what we can do. So I say this one is ours also. We are playing allot better now. If the Rox show up 92-87, a come from behind effort for us.

Its going to be a hard game, well ugly would be the better word. I hope the Rockets win, but the Kings should win big.

Really amazing to see a team with half their team playing so well. I was very surprised to see the Spurs go down. Rockets should win though.......it's just time. 102 to 94 Rockets

Rocks: 85
Sac: 81

Yao has foul trouble but is still able to get a double double with 25pts and 14rb.

Francis lights it up, and Mobes makes us happy he is back (not that i am not happy now).

Keys:

Reduce TOs.
Protect the Ball.
Motion offense. No ISO
Ming needs lot of touches and shot attempts
Tough Defense.

If most of the factors hold, then we will be Kings. After all, they are short-handed right now

We need the Compaq Center ROCKING for this game. If you can set aside the night, you should REALLY try to get tickets. And don't give any of this BS about the cheap seats not being very good -- the compaq center cheap seats ($10 and $13) are really pretty good, and we need the extra noise. For that kind of money you can't expect the hypothetical "good" seats anywhere so just give up your excuses and come out. Parking is free, traffic flows nicely, the Rockets are playing well, we have a great team and we're playing a great team. We need to win this game and the Compaq Center gets REALLY loud when its full. The players like the support, and we have no reason not to support them. Last game was pretty active and loud and look what happened. Plus, this is Cuttino Mobley water bottle night (that thing is hideous!!), so you get a perk if you come.

edit: I just checked and there are still $13 seats available, but no $10s. Even after the 13s there are reasonably priced seats.

Obviously, we've had a ton of problems playing qwith Sac-town the last few years. But, if we play smart ball, we can take them. The team looks likes it's starting to embrace the emphasis on defense and passing, and that's huge. We have to watch out for their players in the passing lanes and cut down on their easy baskets. Plus, we need to shoot the ball well. None of this happened in our recent matchup which may have been our worst game of the year. But this time, it's in our house, and I'll be there screaming my head off!

Well, I am expecting a close game.

98-96, but Rox loose, SAC is just a better team right now.

I stick to my theory that if the rocks hold Sac under 90, Rox win. If Sac rattles off 90+, Rox lose.

My predictions.

CASE 1
Rox 88
Sac 82

OR

CASE 2
Rox 83
Sac 95

I like Case 1 better.

Rockets will hit 100 points, I guarantee it. they can't stop Ming, they can't stop Francis, and they can't stop Mobley.

To make matters worse for them, Webber needed X-rays during the Spurs game. Not sure if he returned or not, but I think he has a chronic wrist unjury since early in his career. (Edit: He did return.) Apart from that, every player on their healthy roster is playing BIG minutes. No depth to call on.

They just look so ready for the whooping. The Spurs game seemed like their final push against the injuries, and I think they'll be out of breath for the Rox game.

We have homecourt. Francis is FIRED UP. Ming gets 2 days of rest. Look at his averages against 3 of the TOUGHEST teams in the league: San Antonio, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. I think he's averaging something like 20/12/2 in those games. Now he goes up against the softer Kings. We MUST get the ball to him.

Francis, Mobley and Ming will combine for 70 points. Our depth will be the difference, and our bench will continue to bring a huge lift. Watch out for Griffin having tons of blocks if he plays.

Rockets 101
Kings 90

We solidify our status as this year's "you may wanna re-think those rankings" team.

Rox will lose big unless they can play smashmouth, which the Kings, hate. I don't think they can, so Kings 110, Rox 88.

Were I calling this one, I'd start Yao and Cato, with KT 3 and lots of Hawk and Griff. Plus our dynamic, AGD, of course. I'd play a 3 2 with that group. I'd pound it inside, on O, from every position.
5 -pick, cut, slam. 4,pick, cut, slam, 3,pick, cut slam, 2, pick, cut slam, etc.

Good luck Rox.
