Ostertag is going to give hell to Yao Ming. The players should move and make the Jazz adjust their defense because when Yao hit a double/triple team, he could find an open player more easily. The line is 5.5 favor Rockets. I would go for the line.

This is usually the type of game the Rockets get up for, and it's at home. Utah has a tough time guarding penetrating guards, and Yao Ming should feast on their inside game. I know Posey is still learning the Rockets system, but hopefully he gets some decent minutes so that he can guard Harpring. Rockets need a win, and I think they get it tonight. Utah is playing decently, they were hot before the 4 game losing streak but they turned it around with a win at Dallas and then slaughtering Memphis.

    Rockets: 93
    Jazz: 87

We have to win this one because......well, because they're the Jazz. The Rockets ALWAYS HAVE to beat the Jazz.

I was wondering, is attendance above average when the Jazz visit? Even though THAT rivalry is over, do people still like to go to games to watch the Rockets trash the Jazz.

We MUST defeat them. Grind their evil selves into the floor and declare... "Hey, Refs! You missed a spot. Clean it up!"

    Rocks by four.

Tough game but why does it have to be?

Why are the Jazz still so good, it is a mystery?

Karl Malone is not that good and Stockton is no where near as good as he used to be, all they do is play smart but that should not be enough to keep winning!

Harpring is not a better player than Marshall but because he plays for the Jazz he is playing above his level, it is very annoying to me.

Well they are smart and play tough but we are better or at least we should be so we will win it in a low scoring game with some good defense from both teams I think

I like the increasing productivity from MoT. He started to shoot the ball better and get little more agile.

Posey is still learning the Rockets system? We have a sysytem?
I was watching Princeton/UT yesterday, and I can only imagine what would happen if any of the Rockets other than Yao actually had to learn a real basketball system. Cato's head might actually explode.
Anyways, I will be at the game tonight, and I will try my hardest to hock a loogie on the Mailman.

    PS
When I was in highschool, i snuck into both games that clinched us the ring. (game 7 vs NY, and game 4 vs Orlando). Telling a seemingly shell shocked Brian Hill, "Better luck next year, man" as he aimlessly wondered around the Summit after being swept is an undelible memory of our championship years to me. I was also the first to give Mario Elie 5 after the second ring. Can anyone boom that?

They play great team defense and they don't make too many mistakes. As much as I hate Stockton and Malone, they know how to play basketball. If Francis had half of Stocktons BB IQ, he would be all world.

We have to absolutely KILL the Jazz this season, and grant ZRB's dream of a Rockets sweep of the Jazz during the regular season.

Random Thought: I've always wanted to see Stevie dunk right over Stockton......full facial and everything.

Jazz seems to be ready for Yao. Quote from Salt Lake Tribune.

    http://www.sltrib.com/2002/Dec/12232002/sports/sports.asp

That confidence gets another big -- like, 7-foot-5 big -- test tonight, when the Jazz get their first look at Houston's international man of mystery, center Yao Ming. After a game in which the Grizzlies allowed the Jazz to score layups at will, Sloan knows his offense will have to adapt to a new challenge in Houston (6:30 p.m., KJZZ).
"Can we make our outside shots? That's always the question mark in a game like that," Sloan said. "Can we execute well enough to get a few inside shots at times, by keeping [Yao] busy, getting him going one way and passing" the other.
Jazz assistant coach Kenny Natt has spent much of the past week watching game films to help formulate a gameplan against Yao. It's not easy, he admits.
"You would think, just double-team him, but when you watch the films, nobody does," Natt said. The reason? "He's too good a passer. He's not just some guy who plays because he's tall. He has basketball skills. He can shoot, he can pass, he knows what he's doing out there. At his size, that's a pretty amazing thing to watch." JAZZ 103

The Jazz have had a much easier schedule than the Rockets. Despite a few upset wins, I still feel that they are lottery bound. The Rockets need to take care of business today.

We should put Cato on Malone. He killed Malone when he played for the Blazers. I remember he collect 9 block (at least 6 block) on Malone during the game.

Sad thing is, Glenn is going to be abused by AK and Matt Harping. These two are the running energizer bunnies.

I have an abnormally strong dislike for the Jazz (I hate to use the word "hate"). All I want for Christmas is for the Rockets to spank the Jazz. I don't just want to win, no no, I want Ming to dunk Malone through the basket, head first! Oh, you don't quite fit, well now you do! I want Francis to put Stockton into the cheap seats. I want Osterbutt's face to make friends with the shot clock! I want the Jazzjerks to limp out of Houston with their tails lagging behind! I WANT ANNIHILATION, HUMILIATION, EXTERMINATION!

And it the remote case that we God forbid, lose, then I want the Rockets to make the "Portland Incident" look like a sunday school picnic. Yes, beat them up before they get to the bus! Now I feel better. P.S. All those attending the game, please BOO every time the Jazz have the ball, thank you very much. P.S.2, Rudy please punch out Jerry Sloan after the game, win or lose. Thanks.
