I was up until about 2:30am last night trying to revive the server after the board crashed from record-setting traffic - I didn't get to write the recap until early this morning. The BBS has received well over 100 registrations since last night, with about 80-90% of those coming from China. A LOT of duplicate game threads popped up after the game -- please try to use the game thread if applicable.

Note: It's tougher to find audio links online since the NBA has cracked down on radio stations playing the games on the web, but if there are good radio links for the game, please post them here or communicate them in the chat room.

Thanks,

This is no doubt a win in my list. Darius is out which means the Cavs are weaker. Heres my prediction.

Rocks: 108
Cavs: 103

This is a very important game.

Why?? Because we are coming off a huge win over the Lakers (even though they had no Shaq but a win is a win!).

We cannot afford to have a letdown against a team that we should beat with no problem.

These games are usually the hardest ones to win.

Hopefully, Yao's performance last night will push Rudy to give him even more minutes now; however, the big Z will be a tough challenge (if he isn't hurt already).

I just dont think that the Cavs can score anywhere near as proficiently as we do. Yao and Z is a pretty good matchup, it will be interesting to see how Yao does against a decent center (Z is better than average when healthy). I am excited to see how Steve and Cat play against Ricky Davis also.

We should win against Cleveland real easy. We should of blowed out the Lakers real easy also, without Shaq. The Rockets will most likely wait til the last minute to pull this one out. Hey, as long as we win though.

I didn't see your smiley anywhere...

Anyway, Ilgauskas went nuts on Bradley and the Mavs last week with a career high of 34 points and a dozen or so boards I believe.

But Yao Ming ain't Bradley. It'll be interesting to see how he handles a 'bigger' opponent (well bigger than what he's gotten so far).

With Miles out, the Rockets should try for an early spurt, put the game away early, let Boki, Collier and Moochie get some minutes towards the end, then think ahead to Thursday's Dallas game.

Cleveland 87

I hope everybody doesn't freak out if Yao goes back to, say, 14 minutes once the Rockets get Cato back for Tuesday's game. I loved seeing Yao's performance last night, but get ready for Cato taking the majority of minutes against big Z.

Thanks for all the work on the BBS Clutch!!! YOU RULE!!!

This is gonna be a pretty interesting game upcoming. Ilgauskas is the best center in the NBA when Shaq is out, and this will be a VERY interesting test for Yao Ming. I imagine he'll keep coming off of the bench for this game, but will probably get minutes like last night.

I think Cuttino will take advantage of the Cavs weakness at SG and fill in the buckets. I doubt Yao goes off for 20, But 12-15 and 8 boards isn't out of the question, Big Z will show him a thing or two. Steve shouldn't have it that hard against the Cavs backcourt.

Is Cato playing in this game?

Guys forget Ilgauskas and Yao...the matchup is all about Mihm and Collier! The best 7 foot cheerleader wins the game, hands down.

Oh and whoever called Ilguaskas the 2nd best center in the game, pass me whatever you're taking please!

The Cavs are an athletic, high-flying team so expect a running game. Cleveland is dangerous, but if the Rockets play the way they're capable of they shouldn't have a problem.

Gee, Miles is out, who else can play in this Celevland team. Well, on 2nd thought, Rox still needs to be serious about Cavs. I rember Cav came out from a 15 pts deficit to beat clippers in this season once. Just pay some attention, Rox should get this win pretty easily. I think Rudy might rest Ming a little bit for the coming Thursday and Friday's big games. Rox need him to win these two!

The Cavs are getting Dajuan Wagner back so him and Francis going at it should be interesting. Francis should give him the rude welcome that Payton gave him during his rookie season. Ilguaskas vs. Ming should also be entertaining.

I will continue with my bizarro world predictions to see how long they will play out.
