Hmmm...playing at home against a sub .500 team that is terrible on the road and has a poor defense...All signs point to a loss

I will be interested to see if Milwaukee starts Mason at center like they did last night against the Mavs...I have a feeling they will after seeing how Kurt Thomas put a body on Yao.

We should win this game...I really dont want to be 1-2 on this current homestand.

This game is gonna be tough. We must be patient and control the pace of the game. If we jack up 3s and try to out-jump shoot them, we are gonna lose. If we go inside (where they are pretty weak), I think we will be fine.

    Rockets 102-90 Bucks

    Happy New Year!

Bucks have a poor interior defense. That is their major weakness. I see Yao Ming getting back on track and going off for big numbers in this game both in points and rebounds. The Bucks have no one to guard him.

I also think Posey's permimeter defense will be huge guarding Thomas, Redd and Allen at times.

Francis can't get caught up in a numbers game with Cassell. Stick with the offense.

I can't imagine Milwaukee will start Mason against Yao. Bradley has no offensive impact, so they could start Mason against him. But there is no way Mason can stop Yao.

the Rockets better not look down to the BUCKS...they beat the MAVS last night !!! the MAVS was leading in double digits in the first half..the MAVS looks down to their opponent..and they lost...the Rockets have trouble looking down to their opponents..that's why we always lost to bad record teams.....the Rockets should come out destroying the BUCKS if they want to win

Mostly agee with this, but Yao has tended to be very hit or miss against teams he hasn't seen before. He has even metioned himself a couple of times that he has to learn the tendencies of each player before being able to outfox them. On the other hand, he did fairly well the first time we saw the Lakers and the Mavs, of course. Who knows.

Rox win by 7 tonight. I think Cassell will school our guards though (24 pts, 8 assist).

As to the other posters comments on Ming, there are alot of players that can shut Ming down at this time. And they are Steve Francis, Cutino Mobley, Moochie Norris and the rest of our i want the ball knuckle heads. Ming 11 pts, 7 rebs, 2 blks.

The Milwaukee Bucks BEAT the Dallas Mavericks AT DALLAS. That is pretty good. Only two teams have done that. The other team beat us...Utah. The Bucks must be very tired....but I'm not sure if the Rockets will win. I just hope they do. Hopefully Yao will do good tonight against the tiny rookie Gadzuric. Anthony Mason is huge! But I hope he's too slow. Hopefully Ray Allen will not be on fire and will be too tired. And hopefully Sam Cassell doesn't go crazy. And hopefully Posey will play more than Rice and stop Tim Thomas and keep a close eye on him. Then we will be OK.

Mobley's offense and Rice's defense shut everyone down to help the Bucks celebrate the New Years!

    How is this headline?

    Rockets 98
    Bucks 87

Yao Ming takes care of the Bucks poor centers and PF's that they put in the Center position.

Francis takes care of the rest.

Bucks interior defense is no good. We need either pound the ball
to the low-post for Yao or Taylor or have our guards dribble penetrate inside to make layups.

My prediction: new career high for Yao Ming in points.

Everytime I think the Rox should win, they lose big. Occasionally when I think they'll lose, they surprise me and win.

I'm expecting the Rox to lose every single game for the rest of the season. That way, any win will be a nice surprise for me this season. Boy, those losses to the Knicks, Hornets, Timberwolves looked horrible.

    Happy New Year to all!

I'm not shocked that Dallas lost to Milwaukee. Dallas has slipped a bit, especially defensively. It hasn't shown in the won-loss column, but it's there, and it'sto be expected, every team hits a funk. I don't think Milwaukee's win over Dallas will have any effect on their game against the Rockets other then the fact that Milwaukee might be tired. Milwaukee doesn't have any form of an inside game, so Milwaukee will fire away. Will they have the legs I'm wondering. Pound the ball inside to Ming, and I'd love to see Posey get some time and guard Ray Allen. I say Rockets 101 Bucks 85.

By the way the Rockets beat the Hornets.

Look for the Bucks to run, run and run. If the Rockets can maintain the Bucks pace and/or push the Bucks into a half court game we could be looking at a double digit Rockets win. If we can't force them into a half court set or keep up with their running game, this one will be close.
