I don't see why not really, it's obvious that this thread is an inquiry not news. So no one is being baited into opening it only to be disappointed. Threads that should be locked in my opinion are repeat threads that we keep opening thinking it is something new but it isn't, like we have been seeing a lot any time an article comes out.
There have been many times I wanted to get Clutch's input on a current issue but I didn't start a thread to try to satisify my curiosity. This Yao situation won't be the last big issue related to the Rockets. If everybody created a thread every time they wanted to know "what Clutch thinks" about something, the GARM would be more chaotic than it already is.
