From his latest article: "Two years ago fans were begging him to come over from Utah to sign for the mid-level exception. Now, those same fans are glad he's gone. It's a shame. All Shandon did when he was here was bring the same game he showed in Utah. He worked his ass off defensively, didn't b**** publically about a lack of shots and never fit in to a system that Rudy T made all about the isolations and the threes." Wow! Tell 'em Clutch!
Actually I like Shandon, I wanted Shandon in Houston 2 years ago, and Shandon isn't a bad guy or a cancer. I think he gets a bad rap because he is a better player then people give him credit for. That being said he didn't fit in here. Period. He even said so himself. Obviously there were people who didn't like Shandon, and these people didn't like him LONG before this deal was done. I wish Shandon good luck though. At least he's out of Utah!
And what kind of money are we paying Mo Taylor?? You dont consider him as a role player? He only has one role. Score points. No defense and no rebounding. Be consistent.
That's right, LOW POST scoring, something the Rockets lack. I think that's being consistent. Shelling money to a low post scorer compared to a SF when we're loaded at that position.
The fact reamains that Glen Rice is the better player. I had hope for Anderson this year, he had a great first season but when we signed him we expected him to put up 14, 4.5, and 3, when he didnt he became expendable. The fact that he did not whine about the system is a good quality but it does not make him a better basketball player.
