Well, you're much smarter than me. I actually read the article and it still took me a while to realize it.

I was sitting here trying to deconstruct the following quote:
"I'd also like to play some at power forward... maybe even the five. Why can't coach see this? Please, get riddy of Ruddy."

I was this close to posting, "What do you think Francis meant by this?"

Damn, do I have problems or what?

This has to be a joke and Francis must be a good joker:"I would like to play some Power Forward and some at the five, wy can't the coach see this, get riddy of ruddy"?!?!?!?!?"Get rid of these clown uniforms"(although i have to say i agree with that.)

Having been here since 1999, you'd think I'd know better by now...

Last year's joke was about Rudy leaving us to coach at Michigan.

I fell for that one horribly.

Too bad it didn't come true...

;)

Yeah, I was pretty amazed that Francis would joke the way he did about "riddy of Ruddy" and Les's beloved uniforms, too.

So, do you think Clutch was fooled by Francis's Interview at first, too?

NJRocket,

Yeah, according to Will, it aired in the DC area, first, then they played it down here.

So, how did Francis now about "riddy of Ruddy" and stuff????

I'll say this...if Francis was willing to joke about it to this extent, then my guess is that he has zero intention of leaving.

I didn't buy it for a second. Clicking on the link, however, I did actually think that it was ESPN's article, and it was their April Fool's joke. Pretty creative, Clutch.

I think it might have been as much of a joke on Washington DC as it was on us, since the U of Maryland and Radio Stations up there partook in it. Although I'm just guessing, UofM is probably who got Francis to play along, and then the Rockets organized it with Clutch and 610. This is one of those somewhat organized, then snowballing jokes, I'm thinking.

Does anyone have the tape??
