Hey guys I am not sure where to post this but anyways I have this over on the IGN boards and thought yall might would like to enjoy it as well. It is an NBA 2K franchise of the Rockets of Course..well here it goes.

    [IMG] [IMG]

The Houston Rockets started the 07-08 season on a roll by starting out 6-1 but after an injury occurred to Tracy McGrady's elbow they started to slide, going 9-16 over the rest of 2007. Houston fans were rabid, calling Luis Scola a bust, yelling fire first year coach Rick Adelman and even wanting to trade Tracy McGrady to try to salvage the rest of the season. However, something starting clicking after the new year for the Rockets and they finally started to play Rockets basketball. The quick turnaround was mostly in part to the stellar play of Yao Ming Tracy McGrady as well as the emergence of the "future" of the franchise with rookies Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, and Luis Scola all flourishing in the second half of the season. With that said and done, the Rockets managed to reel off 22 consecutive wins which is second best in the NBA history, 10 wins without all-star center Yao Ming who went down with a season ending stress fracture injury on February 26th. The Rockets continued to play well throughout the rest of the regular season and finished with 55-27 which was good enough for the 4th best record in the Western Conference and also home court advantage versus their arch rival, the Utah Jazz in the playoffs. However, without the services of starting point guard Rafer Alston in games 1 and 2, the Rockets dropped both games at home after a ridiculous call by Tony Brothers on a Kirilenko flop in Game 2. The Rockets had their backs to the wall going in to game 3 in Utah but they showed heart and managed to steal game 3 and barely lost game 4. The Rockets game out on fire in game fire and absolutely dominated the Jazz on the way to 95-69 rout of the Jazz. Houston had all of the momentum going into game 6 but they lost all of it when Rafer Alston went down with a injury the Jazz seized the momentum and blew out the Rockets in game 6 in a 113-91 win and thus sent the Rockets home for a second consecutive year with a lot of unanswered questions and what ifs to face in the offseason..

Houston fans have many questions regarding next season. Should the team trade Tracy McGrady for some talent that will stay healthy or should Daryl Morey and Les Alexander give Tracy and Yao one more year together to be able to obtain that elusive championship?

Let me know if yall would enjoy this as well..if not I won't post any more of it.

I play 2k all the time, and not trying to be a dick but I don't expect many people to care about your simulated Rockets team. Sorry, I'm sure it's fun for you, but should you be making threads about it?

Tracy McGrady and Rick Adelman enter.

Tracy: Hey Coach, you wanted to see me.

Rick: Yes, Tracy, how are you doing?

Tracy: Alright coach, I just feel bad right now. I just can't seem to get it done when it matters most and plus it doesn't help that the big man went down too.

Rick: Tracy, this playoff series loss was not your fault at all, you played phenomenal, the guys around you just weren't playing their best and it really killed us against a team like Utah that likes to capitalize on mistakes. We made too many mistakes and they capitalized on it which ended up costing us at the end. But whats done is done and we must look toward the future. We must build around the two center pieces of our franchise, you and Yao and thats what me and Daryl plan on doing.

    Daryl Morey enters.

Morey: Tracy, I am here to tell you that despite all of the rumors that you are hearing we are not looking to trade you but we are going to get you some help in the off season that will take some of the scoring role of you and Yaos back. Dikembe is supposed to let me know sometime today if he is going to return for next season as well.

Tracy: Thank you coach and Daryl, I will work my hardest in my season to elevate my game and make this team a championship contender next season!

    Tracy leaves

Rick: Now that he is gone, what do you have in mind.

Morey: Lets just say that Tracy and Yao are the only untouchables on the team at the moment.

Rick turns the lights off and both Daryl and Rick leave.

To be fair, this area of the board is almost exclusively dominated by frivolous CD queries, discussions of bodily functions, drunken rants, and pictures of scantily-clad women. We're not exactly shooting for the moon here...

I'm so confused. The write-up seems to be about the real season - but you're saying it is of a simulated season on a video game?

    !?!?!?!

Stu: I'm Stuart Scott and we have breaking news coming out of Houston, we go to Ric Bucher.

Bucher: Yes Stu, the news is true. Dikembe Mutombo will indeed be coming back for another season as a back-up center for Yao Ming for the Rockets. Mutombo showed this season that he stil has some left in the tank as he took over the starting center position when Yao went down. Daryl Morey has called a press conference with Mutombo for sometime later on today. ESPN will keep you covered.

Stu: Mutombo, the oldest player in the NBA, turns 50 next month.

Bucher(laughing) Stu, it seems like he is that old, but hes only 42.

Stu: I'm Stuart Scott, Sportscenter is online all the time at ESPN.com. Now back to Pardon the Interruption with Tony Kornheiser and Mike Wilbon.

    Press Conference

Daryl Morey and Dikembe Mutombo enter.

Morey: We have very exciting news for the city of Houston. Although he said that this would be his last year playing in the NBA, Dikembe Mutombo or as you all know him as Deke will be making a return to the Rockets for the 2008-2009 season. He will be the back up to Yao and after the season he had after filling the role when Yao went down, I am sure that we will see plenty more finger wagging from Deke. Deke will now take your questions.

    Reporter:
Dikembe, why did you decide to return for one more season?

Mutombo: Well the first reason is that even though I am 41 years old, I am just not ready to give up the game of basketball yet. My mind and my body is responding to the thrill of the game. I talked to my wife and my kids and they told me to go for it so that is what I am going to do. The second reason is that I believe that this team that we have here is capable of reaching the ultimate goal and winning an NBA championship.

    Reporter:
    This one is for...
    ***Mutombo interrupts*
Mutombo:One more thing. Another one of the big reason that I am going to come back is because of the great fans we have here in Houston and all of the support that they have given me throughout the years that I have been a Rocket. The finger wag will be back stronger than ever this season.
Deke proceeds to do a finger wag to the crowd which they eat up.

Reporter: This question is for Mr.Morey, Mr.Morey, now that Dikembe is going to come back, does this shift your plans for the off-season.

Morey:Yes, this does change things as we do not need to go after a back-up center and it saves us money that we can spend on going after a 3rd scoring option from the free-agent money or even in a trade.

Reporter: With the NBA draft less than 2 weeks away, have you made any discussions with teams regarding trades?

Morey: We have not made any action of as yet but our phone line is always open to teams who would like to negotiate. We are going to do BIG things this off-season. With that said, Dikembe and I must go negotiate a new deal with his agent so we would like to thank the press for coming out but we have to go.

    Morey and Deke exit

    Houston Rockets Draft Preview.

Katz: Hello everyone, welcome back to ESPN's exclusive coverage of the NBA Draft. Our next team to preview will be the Houston Rockets who own the 25th and 56th pick in the draft. We will be previewing on who the Rockets might take with their first round pick. The Rockets have been busily scouting 3 main prospects for the draft,

    1. Chris Douglas Roberts from Memphis [IMG]

    2. Wayne Ellington from North Carolina [IMG]

    3. Brandon Rush from Kansas. [IMG]

We are first going to preview Brandon Rush from Kansas. Too do this we bring in our own Dick Vitale. Dickie V, how are you doing?

    Dickie V.:
I'm doing good Andy besides that I have to do these interviews on my vacation. Im trying to get some sun, baby!(laughing)

Katz:(laughing) Ok Dick well what can you tell us about Brandon Rush.

Dickie V: Brandon Rush is a special kid, he is just a super sentilating(sp.) sensational talent and his potential is through the roof. He is very athletic and has a great wingspan for his side and he plays his best when he is on the open floor. He can also jump out of the gym, baby! He is also a great perimeter defender. However, questions about his ball handling and the ability to drive into the lane question his potential to be a PTPer(Prime-Time Player) at the NBA level but whoever drafts this kid out of Kansas, will be getting a great talent.

Katz: Thank you Dick, what can you tell us about Wayne Ellington.

Dickie V.: Oh Mr.Ellington wearing the Carolina blue was a true treat to watch during his years at Carolina. This kid is lightning quick with great range and he can pull up from anywhere. He was a true diaper dandy his first year at North Carolina but I am not sure if he can be a terrific player at the NBA level because of his lack of size and his constant shooting slumps that he seems to fall into it, but whoever drafts him will be getting a kid with a great work ethic and attitude which is a coach's best friend, baby!

Katz: Certainly a great fit to Houston offense who are looking for someone who can make shots. Alright Dick, I know you want to get back to your sunbathing, tell us about Chris-Douglas Roberts.

Dick Vitale: The Memphis Tigers and Chris-Douglas Roberts had the national championship in their grasp this year, sooo close but CDRs inability to make free throws cost them the title. CDR will be facing the same questions he had in the NBA as he had in college, will he able to come through in the clutch or will he choke like he did in the national championship. He will have this monkey on the back until he proves he can be a PTPer, baby! Although there are questions to his performance when it counts, CDR is a terrific player, he is a great slasher with a scorers mentality and he has the ability to finish at the rim although he will have to get stronger if he wants to compete at the NBA level.

Katz: Thank you, Dick. You can now go back to your sun bathing.

Dickie V.(laughing) Thank you Andy but I am going to go hit the pool, baby!

Katz: That was Dick Vitale previewing the Houston Rockets possible draft picks. However, their have been multiple rumors circulating that the Rockets might deal their pick to acquire that 3rd scoring option that they are trying to acquire. We will see what happens as this week progresses. I am Andy Katz, we now take you back to Neil Everett and Sports Center.
