Losing close games is a sign of a young team that hasn't learned to play down the stretch. It's really the difference between the have and have-nots in the NBA. Hopefully time and maturity will heal some of these flaws & wounds. D R
Tough loses but we also one a few close games as well including the Heat, Lakers, Portland and most recently the Boston game. The Rockets play in the clutch could be improved, no question, but it is a young team and these are things they just have to learn. Chris
I think you hafta credit fatigue a little bit in this loss. 2nd game of a back-to-back in which the first went into OT. We looked strong in the first half, but I think our boys just got a little winded in the second, which is why the defense looked a little lax (to say the least).
if we weren't the second youngest team in the NBA, meaning if we had a lot more experience, we could have won all of those games. ok, at least gone 8-2. so our team in our prime would be 38-19. now that is something to look foward to.
Nov 15 @Phoenix, Cat missed two FTs in the end that could win the game. Then Marbury scored the winning 2 points.
Yes, it's dissapointing for this team to lose so many close games down the strech. I know we're a very young team but these aren't exactly veteran teams beating us (Chicago, Cleveland, Memphis, L.A. Clippers, Golden State).
Update: Feb 27 Thu @ Washington L 100-98 (OT) Jordon and bad calls killed us Did anyone notice that 9 out of 11 these types of close games were on the road?
Come on, you can't expect Jordan to stop getting calls. The NBA wants him in the playoffs one last time, so you have to expect him to get a couple of questionable calls. Steve sucked harder than a drunk cheerleader on an acid trip at a frat party
Steve killed us in the 1st 3 quarters but somehow it didn't matter because His teammates compensated it. BUT Jordon and ball calls in the OT killed us.
on TNT they said the rockets are like 1-10 in games decided by two or less. That wasn't the exact number, but it was absolutely horrendous.
