    Clinton's poll day threat to Iran
    Hillary Clinton has issued a stark warning to Iran, as Democrats in Pennsylvania vote to choose between her and Barack Obama to run for president.

    She said the US would attack, and could "obliterate" Iran, if it launched a nuclear strike on Israel.

    Mrs Clinton has been playing up foreign affairs and leadership as she tries to make up ground in the Democratic race.

    She leads polls in Pennsylvania, the largest remaining state, but analysts say her hopes depend on a big victory.
    ~~~~~~
    Is anyone surprised by the tone of this comment as I am? I do not believe even George Bush has used this rhetoric to date when dealing with Iran. Do you think this will help or hinder Hillary with attaining the Democratic nomination? I believe that these comments will alienate her anti-war supporters, and it will be impossible to win in November without the anti-war vote for the Democrats.
    (Please move this to D&D. I cannot view that forum, but this will make a good discussion point among those who are able to post. If this is not okay, please just delete this thread and I will not do this again.)
    Ban him!!
    (Besides, there's nothing to debate here. Iran doesn't have nukes, and if it did, and nuked Israel, there would be nothing left for the US to "obliterate".
    She no soul. This is blatant pandering to Jewish voters and an attempt to paint Obama as soft.
    I really hope he wins today and ends this thing. The race for the Western Conference Playoffs was nail-biting and draining, but this race is killing me. Maybe winning Indiana on May 6 will do the trick.
    In general ... I thought developed nations tried to minimize collateral damage during war ... "obliterate" ... great, there goes my family. She's basically making the poor people pay for the decisions of a non-representative government. psh, who cares, they're halfway across the world anyway, right?
    "leadership" ... yeah ok.
    If you're going to use strong words, make sure you do it very specifically. Obama just learned that lesson the hard way, thanks for paying attention Billary. "Obliterate" Ahmadinejad and his posse would have been fine, but the way this Einstein is exercising her vernacular resembles a r****d swinging around a pair of scissors.
    where's the hands-covering-face while shaking-head emoticon? whatever, i'll just use a couple of these :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
    Maybe she shouldnt say it, but thats what would happen. No matter who is president.
    Think about it- Iran launching a nuclear strike on Israel? We would HAVE to respond. Maybe "obliterate" is a bit strong, but we would have to do significant damage.
    Or we could talk to them about it.
    What a novel concept - I'm banned from a certain forum, so I am going to start a thread that should be in the forum I'm banned from in a forum that I am not banned from. Hopefully, you'll be banned from ALL forums after pulling this stunt - not cool.
