OK, so there's a rabid group of crazy Hillary supporters that refuse to accept the results of the primary. They want a re-vote at the convention and other such things. So, as part of their plan, they are sending massive amounts of email to media and, especially, delegates and DNC members. Here are some of the responses from the delegates and DNC people. Great fun!

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0708/The_DNC_writes_back.html?showall

    The DNC writes back

Despite expectations (including here) that they'd fade away, the Hillary die-hards -- an extremely anti-Obama corner of the Democratic Party -- live on, at least online, where they send -- as reporters and members of the Democratic National Committee -- a lot of email. They're demanding a roll-call vote at the convention, to no clear end.

And the PumaPAC blog has a catalogue of the irritated responses they say they've been getting from members of the DNC in response to their email deluge.

It's meant to spur outrage, though I think others may find it a bit, er, entertaining.

    Samples:

Donna Brazile: "Stop the hate. Not sure if you know, but we are keeping copies of all these emails in the archives. Yes, you are not going to get away with pretending to be for Hillary. She is a leader of the Dem party.”

Former DNC chair Don Fowler: "I must confess a bit of fatigue and irritation with people who continue to carp, complain, and criticize the results of the primary and lay down conditions for their support. The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t establish conditions to recognize the Boston Celtics as NBA Champions; Roger Federer did not demand concessions before recognizing that Rafael Nadal defeated him at Wimbledon.

California DNCer Garry Shay: “The racist bullsh**I have gotten from my fellow Clinton supporters has been enough to make me puke. You have a choice. No one would be forcing you. It is a choice. A choice you will have to live with. 100 years in Iraq if McCain gets elected. Thousands more dead American Soldiers."

WA Democratic Chairman Dwight Pelz: "Man, you have to chill. Try tennis."

CA superdelegate Steven Ybarra: “Good for you, when the fascists come in the middle of the night to take you to a concentration camp, remember how you voted. Take me off your whiner list . . .then tell them to stop calling me telling me that they are going to vote for mccain. i am would rather vote for a rabid dog than any Fascist republican like mccain. read the declaration of independence."

DNCer Ben Johnson: "When God was giving out brains…you thought he said trains…and you missed yours. Who gives a croc what you do, its your business fool."

AZ superdelegate Carolyn Warner: “GOD WILL GUIDE THE HAND OF JUDGMENT THAT WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN! Do not email us again. Thank you."

It's really tough to not respond to this stuff without coming off as sexist, so I'm not even going to try and restrain myself.

What did that dumb woman think was going to happen when she starts publicly blabbing on about how she's going to vote Republican? Getting kicked out of the democratic party for deliberately trying to hamper it seems pretty standard.

It is so freaking lame. Quoting Susan B. Anthony? Get the frick over yourself. Hillary freakin' lost, it's not like she was barred from running. These women are so freaking petty.

Well, it's not official until the convention -- Obama did not amass enough pledged delegates to win, so until the superdelegates cast their vote at the convention, Obama will continue to be the presumptive nominee.

The fact that the Obama camp is trying to keep Hillary out of the process and deny a roll call vote just reeks of insecurity. She did win the popular vote tally, after all. The Democratic party is acting in a manner that is much less than... democratic... by attempting to stifle the pro-Hillary crowd -- that's for sure.

What are you talking about? Hillary Clinton has appeared with Barack Obama, publicly endorsing him one multiple occasions. If anything, the Obama campaign is welcoming her into the fold - beyond giving her the VP slot - so that the appearance of Unity is given off.

Remember Debra Bartoshevich? It probably wasn't the best idea for the Wisconsin Democrat leadership to remove her delegate status. If you build unity by quashing dissent, you end up running people off.

If these Hillary supporters truly think that John McCain is more in line with their interests than Barack Obama, have at it.

    IMO.

Some of those DNC Members responses are pretty snooty.

I said this before but these Clinton supporters need to seriously consider the issues at stake. If they are Clinton supporters over issues like health care there is no way that McCain's positions are closer to Clinton's than Obama's are.

I just don't believe there are that many Hillary supporters who won't vote for Obama. I think a lot of this is GOPers pretending to be frustrated Hillary supporters.

These women are making it worse for women presidential candidates in the future. If these women keep this crazy mess up, it’s going to totally turn me off of voting for another women presidential candidate again. I know women are passionate, but my god, enough is enough already!

I just can't see the logic of saying that you'd vote for mccain. what would be your issue other than being petty. there is nothing in actual policy that would force a hillary supporter to vote mccain

I saw this lady on msnbc thursday, I thought she said her blog was nodeal.com. she was just angry but couldn't name anything specific. she did say she just wouldn't vote

In some cases, they are. Either the PUMA creator or the head of a similar group made a max contribution to McCain - but never donated to Clinton.

If they think John Mccain is closer to their views than Obama then vote for him. But to vote for Mccain just to make Obama lose seems extremely childish.
