WASHINGTON -- Hillary Rodham Clinton, fresh off big primary victories, hinted Wednesday at the possibility of sharing the Democratic presidential ticket with Barack Obama -- with her at the top. Obama played down his losses, stressing that he still holds the lead in number of delegates.
In a night that failed to clarify the Democratic race, John McCain clinched the Republican nomination. Clinton won primaries in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, halting Obama's winning streak. Obama won in Vermont.
Both Democrats insisted on Wednesday they had the best credentials to go head to head -- or as Clinton put it "toe to toe" -- against McCain.
Asked on CBS's "The Early Show" whether she and Obama should be on the same ticket, Clinton said
"That may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."
Obama, who had hoped to knock Clinton out on Tuesday, said he would prevail against a tenacious candidate who "just keeps on ticking." Clinton acknowledged the race was close and said it would come down to her credentials on national security and the economy.

I like Sen. Joe Biden, but a Obama/Clinton ticket would be unbeatable. Let Obama do the speeches and Hillary do the bashing.

I think either candidate deciding on a VP right now, is premature. It is probably more so for Hillary given that she's still behind.

Why would Obama consider something like this right now when he's winning?

    ;)

This is all part of the spin from Hillary.

I would love to see Richardson as a VP. He rivals any of them with his foreign policy experience and experience in general as a cabinet member and governor of New Mexico...that and he's Hispanic(?)

No way in hell Obama shares a ticket with her. She's everything he's campaigning against. She's such a slimeball, I swear.

What are her credentials on national security? She was the President's wife? I don't think we'll be rolling out Norman Schwarzkopf's wife next time we need military advice. Obama needs to finally nail her for the fraud she is.

    Ask her this simple question...

"Hillary, can you give us an example of a crisis you were directly involved in that was crucial to national security and how did you handle it?”

Hillary and Biden combo would make turn this administration into an AIPAC stooge. That's exactly what we need to diffuse our middle eastern politics.

Off topic, but after watching BBC this afternoon it looks like Hillaroid is really starting to get fat!

And I can't remember the last time we had a fat president........maybe Eisenhower slightly if at all.....but every other president since Teddy Roosevelt has been in pretty decent shape....

    William Taft faints.
(It happens quite often when you get that fat and out of shape.)
