Clinching

    If the Rockets win tonight, and the Warriors lose, that would mean they are 12.5 games behind us, the 9 seed, with 12 games left. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean we clinch a spot if that happens?

    Sorry I just cant wait till the playoffs and this is the closest thing to it!

    the clipps would be (with a rocket win tonight) 10 GB with 12 games left.

    What difference does that make? Rockets need to be more than 12 ahead of the 9th seed, we can drop to 8th and be in playoffs.

    Yes its is correct Rockets win + Warriors loss = CLINCH!!!

    wait a minute. shouldn't utah have clinched then?

    they're up by 12.5 games over the warriors with golden state only having 12 games left.

    each half game represents 1 on the magic number chart if im not mistaken, so a warriors loss will clinch it for them
