Go Orange! The new jerseys look fine, but the old ones were more appropriate because they were brown...uh, you know, like in "the Browns."
Why'd they make such a big deal about Cleveland getting to keep the name "Browns" and their colors and uniforms if they were just going to change them in a few years?
They've always had orange in their color scheme. This is just another way to sell more jerseys. I doubt this is a permanent move.
I thought Cleveland was all about tradition. Thats why they refused to let the Browns name, logo, etc. move to Baltimore. Isn't a uniform change sacreligious to the dawg pound? I, for one, prefer the former jerseys. for color blind people, they looked like the Chiefs from a distance.
The uniform was for this game only. The NFL is allowing teams this year to wear a 3rd jersey or throwbacks for one game only.
Actually, the jerseys were worn to honor the 1950 NFL Champions. The dominant Browns teams of the 50's wore orange jerseys.
my understanding is that the only time they actually wore those orange jerseys was during a preseason game in the 50's.
If you're looking for the Texans to wear something a little different...maybe they'll actually break out the blue jerseys at least once this season.
NO!!!! the oilers are now the titans. i've accepted it and so should you! my brain would go on overload to see the texans don old oiler jerseys... i wouldn't know who to root for anymore!
They HAVE to let Christopher Lowell do some work on those unis. They look as bad as the old school Padres unis.
I think the Texans were sucking so bad the NFL wanted to give them a break and let them play Clemson, guess that backfired But, I thought I would like to tell you guys that the NFL asked the 32 NFL teams sometime this offseason if any of them would like to wear their "alternate" jerseys sometime this season. I think about 11 teams said they would participate, The only thing is They have to be worn during the second half of the season. We might get to see a lot of new uniforms in the up coming weeks.
