Need a referral to a good one. I had some MRIs recently and they showed all sorts of issues with my back and neck (the MRIs showed that I was perfectly healthy, otherwise). I know, I know, chiropractors are quacks, blah blah. I read it all in these two threads: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=261577 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=205327
What exactly do you mean the MRIs showed "all sorts of issues"? What was the diagnosis? Just trying to see what your goal is...whether you're trying to fix the underlying problem or just get pain relief.
I'd rather not get into it via the internet; I'm not walking sideways or stooped over, but I do have back pain on a daily basis that diet, exercise and ergonomics don't completely alleviate. Got a little more detail than that? Ever actually used him?
Sorry, that sounds rough. Unfortunately, chiropractic care will not fix your degenerative changes, these are permanent and will continue to worsen over time. It's an issue of aging as well as damages accrued over a lifetime. Physical therapy often has the same functional outcomes as surgery in low back pain without loss of strength or sensation in the legs.
