List the classic rock songs (something that would be played on classic rock or oldies rock FM stations) that you absolutely cannot stand. The songs that immediately make you change the channel. Mine are (in no particular order): "Black Water" - Doobie Brothers "Jesus is Just Alright" - Doobie Brothers "Blinded by the Light" - Manfred Mann "You May Be Right" - Billy Joel Anything by Herman's Hermits
there isnt really much that I absolutely cant stand there is stuff Im not real crazy about...but thankfully most of the time Im in my SS with my Sirius radio so that problem is easily rectified by switching to hard attack or buzzsaw. /me sits back and waits for the standard attacks on Styx/Boston/Eagles coma....you must be listening to 93.7...
I actually like classic rock. It makes me feel like Im at the beach or something. It's soo uncool that it's great. I dont care for Areosmith though, the old stuff is good though. I used to really hate Bob Seger now I really like him except for "old time rock and roll" I dont like any Billy Joel Take Me Home Tonight - Eddie Money.
You should hear my kids singing 2 part harmony on Black Water. It is the funniest thing ever. My wife also hate that I have them singing Happiness is a warm gun by the beatles. My daughter sings, "Happiness is a warm gun" and my son give it the ole, "bang bang shoot shoot" One day they discoverd American Pie... now I'm about to shoot myself.
I really do not like classic rock songs for many reasons; the biggest reason is that pseudo pretentious audiophiles try to use classic rock to say that is music and everything aside from Dave Matthews Band is not music. I do, however, like the musical aspects of classical rock.
That "Turn, Turn" song or any other Wonder Years-type crap. Also I never listen to Led Zeppelin thanks to classic rock stations.
You know, you denigrate only yourself with this statement. I'll go with: Night Moves - Bob Segar Captain Jack - Billy Joel Whighter Shade of Pale - Procol Harem They are all depressing looks at the seamy underbelly of life.
Anything by REO Speedwagon. Most stuff by Billy Joel. Agree with RMTex: Manfred Mann. Rod Stewart's Disco influenced stuff. Any sappy hard rock ballad.
Anything from the 60's or 70's that's considered "psychedelic" (besides Hendrix) Anything from The Pretenders. Just very dull to me.
