    Paraphrasing…

“You got to work on your skills, ball handling, shooting, getting to your spots, the fundamentals of the game, the footwork because that’s what really separates you, you can’t always dunk. You gotta be able to do something else.”

And the Church of Clutch said amen.

Referred to Josh as the young fella with bounce. This was “neat.”

    Uh oh.

JOFs aren't going to like it that someone other than keyboard warriors who know 'nothing' used the word 'fundamentals' with Jalen.

Nobody should frown on critiques what should be frowned upon are idiots who don't have the patience for a 19 yr old rook to get a season under his belt before calling his career done. Reminds me of the Alex experts during his call uo in 2016 or Yulis move to first base.

JC is always talking to vets after the game. I like that.

sometimes it's better to not be blessed with talent at a young age. CJ didn't grow into a regular body until he was in college; had no choice to work on his fundamentals.

I think Ja didn't start dunking until he was a senior in high school or something crazy.

JC and Jalen have been blessed with bunnies since middle school.

I like JG and I still believe in him. Admittedly, he is not as developed as a basketball player as I had hoped or was led to believe during the draft process. He is still very young though and guys his age typically do struggle early in the NBA. It’s just a fact.

The cool thing about him is there are clear paths to how he can actually get better, be it adding strength, more consistent shooting, better ball handling, playing with more change of speed, developing a floater or some mid range game. Not too long ago he was over 15 points on a respectable TS% as an extremely raw and flawed player. He’s basically doing what he’s doing on physical gifts alone. Scary for the league if he gets better at just a couple of those things.

Look at the guy we played just last night, Anfernee Simons. Couldn’t even get on the court his rookie year and now in his 4th season has become an absolute menace out there on the court. We shouldn’t have to wait until JG’s 4th season, but 1 season of patience shouldn’t be too much to ask for.

Patience is a foreign concept to the Green haters. They're legit out here comparing Green to Darko, despite Green having a 30pt game with 8-10 3's. They're also claiming he's had "one game in a season of slump" despite him having 30, 29, 24 (twice), 23, 22 and 21pt games. They're either being wilfully ignorant, stupid or just aren't even watching us play and talking complete fantasies. And he's done those things whilst having a tough start to his NBA career with lots of struggles. Anybody who can't see the potential and is prematurely calling bust is a flat out moron.

JG needs so much fundamental work.. look at how poised Cj was as he played. He had that as a rook Bc he’s never been athletic really. Fundamentals are his strength

JG has world class athleticism but no fundamentals (passing decent tho). He will either work his ass off and be Beal/Lavine level or he’s JR Smith.

The Rockets system is making JG look a lot worse than he is, if we took midrange shots then he wouldn’t be shooting as many 3’s… he prob would also attempt more pull-ups.

Rockets as a whole have to do more than just 3’s and layups… One thing I notice about JC is he will pull up midrange or shoot a floater

I'm always in awe of Gordon's effortless ways to get to the hoop. It looks like NBA live '95 but so effective. He should be teaching the layup drills

An NBA great like Andrew Wiggins giving advice to our players I can accept, but a loser like CJ needs to shut up and dribble.

And yet with all of CJs fundamentals he’s always taking contests 2s. His TS has usually been below league average and ftr have never been as high as greens rookie numbers lol.

as bad as green has been there are some clear numbers pointing to a potential wildly efficient scorer. I don’t think people realize how hard it is for guards to finish at the rim or draw fouls. Green I’m his rookie year is showing aptitude in both. Those are clear signs for optimism.
