That is a horrible photochop job. You could at least photoshop a guy in there that looks happy to be there with his family....

Yep, even the guy's face reflects a sense of "WTF am I doing here?".

Years ago, the Onion had an article like this where a college photoshops a black guy into their brochure or something. I need to look it up.

I take it they're on Tatooine, where the multiple suns allow light to reflect at different angles on people standing cheek to cheek.

Looks like someone forgot to photoshop in some racially mixed children. Chocolate and Vanilla makes mocha. I'm suprised they couldn't just find ethnically different models in the largest city in their country. Or just do one of each, like the foster family that moved next door to the Bradys.

The funny thing is, Canada's black population percentage is about a fifth of America's, and presumably docile enough to not agitate for proportional brochure representation. It's almost tantamount to diversity p*rn.

For those who don't know... there is a website called Photoshop Disasters that is dedicated to bad Photoshop jobs. Sometimes it's obvious but sometimes you really have to look to see what they are complaining about.

That may be true of Canada overall, but Toronto is extremely diverse. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that whites are a minority there.

That is one terrible photoshopping job, though. The lighting is all wrong for the black dude compared to the rest of the "family."

According to Statistics Canada, the city of Toronto had 208,555 black people out of a total population of 2.476 million in 2006, for a percentage of 8.4%. Which is still far below the 13.4% figure for the entire United States, and the 25.3% figure for Houston.

The city has a significant minority population, but that population seems to be mostly Asian. Really not a lot of black people in Toronto...

When I lived there, the "brown" races (is that term un-PC?) were dominant. People of Indian, Pakistani and middle eastern descent were by far the most visible, at least in my neighbourhood and in the downtown area.

Just read that 47% of Toronto's population consists of visible minorities. That's huge.

And Church Street probably has over 47% of the country's homosexuals, not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

Yeah, Toronto is supposedly very diverse. You would think they could have found something 'real' to illustrate that in a photo...

    Haha! That's too funny.

I work for a local magazine and we have subscription to a website where we can pull stock photography from and the original picture is from there. I think we've actually ran that pic in one of our Housinguide magazines. Too funny.

Wow. English-speaking, first-world economy with little-to-no minorities? I think Canada just became the new Sun Belt.

Toronto is pretty racially diverse. They've got a huge Chinese population from what I remember reading when Yao came to town. From looking it up, it seems their Asian population is over 25% of the city.
