Saw it last week on 3D, on a Thursday midnight showing. Since then, my daughters have seen it twice and three times each, separately. I want to see it again. They really like it, and so do I. This is a well-made prequel. They incorporated a lot of the "future" into this. It really does a good job of twisting the story to make it fit until the end. Spoiler Stay for the credits! And now for the REAL spoiler: Spoiler I won't spoil it. The plot and the jokes left and right are clean and wholesome, and it's what you've come to expect from a Pixar production. Go see it this weekend. Rating: SwoLy's Rating System: Excellent  Good Average Could be better Bad Extremely bad
I agree that it was very funny and my kids loved it. Very well done for adults and children. Would take them again.
I really want to see WWZ, but since my gf has already seen it, this is the only thing left we haven't seen. But I still wanna see WWZ. Which one is better... WWZ or Monsters?
I thought the storyline where Spoiler Randall becomes bad was somewhat of a letdown. So he was a good guy rooming with Mike...joined a frat...became bad. Missing a bit with that, I thought. Favorite part of the movie (for me)... Spoiler when the OK posse went to the factory and the mom said she was going to listen to her music. lol...death metal.
I thought WWZ was pretty generic. Monsters U is a Pixar film, even the ones that aren't great are still solid.
This one looked better to me than any other Pixar movie, and that's hard to do I would think. Fear Tech.
Pixar has been on something of a "non"-roll since "Toy Story 3". When Pixar is on, their films are awesome: the Toy Story films, Up!, Finding Nemo. They need to get it back together a bit, though. "Brave" was awful. I haven't seen this new one. I'm sure it's good but formulaic.
I never liked the Toy Story series, except the first one. The there were meh... especially the last. However Monsters Inc is probably my favorite animation of all times. ALL TIMES! So that's a plus. I'm just afraid the second one will be bad, as is the case with most second movies.
Monsters, Inc. is the only previous Pixar film I have not seen although that will change as I just ordered the Blu-ray. The worst of the films is Cars, in my opinion. Ratatouille was an excellent film although it isn't really appreciated as much as it should be.
Same here, for the most part. Don't think I've ever watched it all the way through, but finally watched most of it recently. I hate Cars and Cars 2 (well hate is strong, but I don't love it like most Pixar movies). Big fan of Ratatouille. Have watched it many times.
Cars is the only Pixar film I didn't like, so much so I didn't even bother with the sequel. Spot on about Ratatouille, under appreciated.
Cars isn't as geared toward adults as much as some of the other movies. Which is why the adults on this board don't like it as much. My kid we t through a phase where he loved it. Also there are so many obvious money tie ins that it is a very profitable franchise for them. I think their both ok. No Up! Or Ratatouile, but conversly those are harder movies for the younger kids to appreciate
