this is a must see! i've followed this guy since the ali g show started in england. no one is funnier.
Watching that trailer, it looks like a lot of this movie will be staged. Is that supposed to be the case?
I don't think so. The main concept with Sasha's characters is to be portrayed as a real person to get real reactions from real people. Real talk.
i don't think a lot of it was staged, though certainly some of the stuff he does with his crew is. i think that was supposed to be a real talk show he was on with that baby and a lot of his interviews seem legit.
of course the situations are staged by the producers and Cohen, but i think most of the reactions are from people that are certainly not in on the joke... that being said, the Richard Bey Show hasn't been on the air in years from what I remember. perhaps they got a real audience together just for the taping and convinced them the show was coming back... but how can people not recognize Cohen is what I want to know. with all the infiltrating of fashion and politics and pop culture, and they're letting this guy into Fashion Week still?
i read somewhere ben affleck didn't even know he was being interviewed by cohen in his bruno guise. a lot of people still don't know of cohen and his characters.
