    He is signing with Memphis.......but to be honest, I don't even think Jordan could save the Rockets at this point and Atkins is no Jordan........

    Is there any NBA vet who, if he was released or if he demanded a trade, wouldn't generate a thread on this board? Atkins is an average backup PG, at best. And of all the problems the Rockets have right now, backup PG isn't one of them.

    why would he sign here this season?

    he will probably sign for the rest of the year in memphis and become a FA this summer.

    he would be a nice backup but i would rather target cassell and claxton.
