Chuck Hayes starts in place of Yao per pregame notes. Of course anything is subject to change until tipoff, but that's how it looks right now. Still no word on if Dorsey will be activated.
Interesting move by Adelman, Chuck hasn't played much this year. I thought he would go with fast lineup at the beginning, maybe to shock the Lakers.
I'm assuming it's a formality, but it's been so long since he's been active that I don't think anyone wants to say 100% until they hear official word.
Is this just official announcement that Chuck will start or just some kinda speculations? I would like to see Luis at C position along with Shane,Von,Ron and Aaron Brooks. That's the small lineup we need to put the speed on and disrupt the flow of the Fakers' offense.
im expecting to see cook with some minutes today, must have some shooters out on the floor or else la will just collapse on ab and artest all day
not that it really matters at this point, but i'm pretty surprised at the bewilderment over chuck starting (actually no i'm not, you guys continue underrating him). chuck hayes starting is absolutely the right move. in fact, outside from game 1, we've been at our best this series with chuck on the floor. you can pretty much pencil in a zero for whoever he is guarding, so it is up to the rest of the team to generate enough offense to somehow pull off the unthinkable. go chuck. if we win today, chuck needs his own show. preferably on NBC.
Hello all. This is my first post on the forum. In answer to your question, this is based on the Rockets posted game notes and it is listed as the "probable" starters. Not official or set in stone though. I was thinking Landry might start at power forward though. We'll see in a bit. 31 Shane Battier F/G 4 Luis Scola F/C 11 Yao Ming C 96 Ron Artest G/F 0 Aaron Brooks G
If I were Adelman, I'd be tempted to send Dorsey out for the opening tipoff -- and have him stand RIGHT NEXT TO KOBE, staring at him and grinning like a crazed homicidal maniac who just escaped from a maximum security prison. Put his chest against Kobe, and every time Kobe moves, move with him and do it again. Heh.
This is what I don't get. People complain about Chuck's lack of offense but the guy he guards never has any offense either. Actually, every opponent in the paint has problems scoring when Chuck is in the game. Meanwhile, Scola and Yao can be giving next to nothing on offense and getting lit up defensively and people don't understand how that is worse than what Chuck brings to the game.
