On his attempted 3-point play. Why hasn't anyone started a thread about this yet? WHAT WAS THAT? Did it hit the bottom side of the backboard, that little padding thing underneath the basket?

I just can't believe a professional basketball player can shoot free throw like that.

yes i said a little bit about it, and someone in here said he was working on changing his hitch

chuck's ft hitch was real ugly last year, real ugly, but yesterday's attempt was like oh my goodness, i can't believe that it hit something before it hit the ground.

i guess i was a bit shocked because i was expecting a different form, but still...

Yeah, his feet spazzed right before he shot it!! I forgot about that. Can someone get a video?

I have been watching and playing basketball for 15 years and I'm pretty sure it was the worst free throw "attempt" I have ever seen.

You should've heard the announcers on Lakers radio. They were like, "what was that, he must've just done that on purpose, that can't be his shot. It was some kind of shot with a hitch".

They were really shocked to see how terrible his ft's look.

the worst ft attempt i've ever seen was when Matrix was rookie. he missed the rim completely, and was nicknamed Air Marion for the rest of the game.

i can say that for me, it was the ugliest i've seen chuck shoot a ft. not only that, was he the one who was charged for a lane violation? i liked his expression, deer caught in the headlights kind of look...

I forgot about it not having seen it in the offseason.

Hell, I almost jumped into the lane.

The more amazing thing was that when the Rockets still had a decent lead late in the 4th quarter, Hayes brought the ball up court and no Laker even made an attempt to foul him.

Chuck's legs didn't spaz out. That's part of his new form.

I'm dead serious too. He did it in the preseason too on the only two I saw him shoot. It's completely intentional!

It's couching staff's problem by now. They can't let it last.

hahaha - seriously! that was the ugliest pos free throw shot i've ever seen! along with that, im suprised that no one got called for line violation. i feel like the whole lakers squad was so confused by his freethrow attempt and was under the goal when he shot it. the angle that the camera man had intensified the inaccuracy of the shot. at first it looked like the angle, but then it hit the backboard... haha that was hilarious

He shoots them fine during practice. He needs about five to get warm and then can hit 80 percent. His problem is finding a rythm at the line and mental problems in the game.

i saw him during warmups and he was hitting a good portion of his FTs...the new motion he leans a bit to his left which is weird but is what threw him off on the airball.

but during shootaround he was knocking them down

His free throws are just plain weird!!!

I'm at a loss for words he's been avering above 60% for his 2 season.

If Shaq had that percentage, he should have won a couple more Rings.

The worst free throw I ever saw was by Carl Herrera, I believe during the first championship season.

The ball was well off to the left, and hit nothing but the backboard.

Chuck's free throw last night was pretty close.
