I know many feel the first movie was for kids, and maybe the entire series is, but I read it when I was young and was quite pleased with the way Lion, Witch & The Wardrobe turned out. So, naturally I am interested in seeing the follow up. Here is the first official trailer. Looks nice.

yea i saw it the other night, before Legend, and it looks good. I fell asleep during the first one and never finished watching it. It wasn't really interesting to me. But this one looks entertaining and not aimed at kids so much.

I read the director wants it to be darker than the first.

The preview looks alright, but the first one was an absolute turd so it's a rental at best for me.

Even though the first one was for kids, I liked it. This one looks even better. :)

I liked the book and all as a kid, but I am a firm believer that any "action epic" movie rated PG will never be that good. Lord of the Rings was good, Pans Labrynth was DAMN good.I didn't check but I am guessing this one is gonna be PG too.

The trailer looked like a generic clone of lord of the rings, but hey they are gonna make mad money since every 12 year old in the entire United States that goes to see it, crap if I was 12 I'd see it and come back for seconds!

Anyone here at all going to see this? The girlfriend and I are going to see it at The Alamo Drafthouse tonight because...well, because we're big dorks that both read the books when we were younger. I think it looks pretty cool.

I will probably go sometime today if not this weekend for sure. i read the books as a kid and interested in watching them. I rewatched LWW earlier this week. i am actually glad disney isnt catering too much to little kids for these movies i think caspian is also nearly 2 1/2 hours long. most kids movies are 90 minutes or so. granted you'll never see a sword drawing blood or anything but I am ok with that, like the battle scene in LWW was decent not really violent like LOTR and all . so i expect that in caspian.

maybe i'll bounce early from work and watch it I dont like going to a theater with kids they always find a way to irritate me. i'll avoid a larger crowd too.

thats awesome i dont know of a theater around here in LA that has that. I usually go to westwood near UCLA there are several nicer one screen theaters there but since its a college area and a rich area you dont really see too many kids there unless its the summer where they try to come there and hang out and be "cool"

Forgot you were in LA LA land. Sounds like going to an early showing would make the most sense for ya. Or a really really late one. Because it is 2 hours and 25 minutes long. But, if parents are as stupid in LA as they are here, that might not mean anything.

We went this afternoon. It was pretty good. It has been a while since I have read the book but it seemed to me to not be real close story wise. It was a similar premise to the book, but the details were nothing like the book. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

They played that skit before the showings at alamo drafthouse. I hadn't seen it in a while and it was still hilarious.

I went to the midnight showing and it was such a disappointment. BBC version only from now on. I was so mad I slept.

Enjoyed it. A few changes from the source, but nothing like Eragon changes. Much better than the first, and I really liked the first.

    I thought it was great...

We just now finally watched L,W&W last night... and then saw PC this afternoon.

I knew the LWW would be a success, but wanted the kids to be older when they saw it... so we finally got it on DVD... SO the kids naturally asked to see Caspian.

    Good films.

    But better books.
