He's spinning. I'm betting this guy is wondering why Queen is a featured columnist and he isn't. Not that he'll ever admit it.

Well I've said I like Feigen less than any Rockets beat writer - ever. He should have a huge leg up in this era of blogging but he comes up with this garbage:

"With the exception of Jerome's 10 worst seasons thing and his premise that the fans are either soft or suckers, their larger point about the Rockets' season is not that different."

Larger point? What larger point is there than insinuating that the Rockets hard-core fan base are either soft or suckers? Any GM in the NBA had to come down hard on that alone.

But we have Morey and he is not short of ego and he loves his guys - some say too much - so he trashed Solomon's premise. Feigen agrees with that.

"Funny thing is, I don't think Daryl or Jerome would argue that judgment of this season will not be complete until next season. Of course fans look to next season. Nothing is more enticing in sports than hope."

But why did Solomon write this crap to begin with if he's essentially saying he might change his mind? Morey is saying we're overall pleased with how the season went and, of course, defending his decisions.

But they agree it's all about next year??? Unless you win it all, it's always about next year. It's just ridiculous writing even for a blog.

I thought I liked his neutral stance, and although he didn't explicitly state it, I can tell that he was calling Jerome a moron

Would it have been better to have tanked this season and gotten a good draft pick ALA San Antonio getting Duncan by tanking when Robinson was out?

Well...probably. I mean, you could have kept T-mac from playing, given a career 32% 3-point shooter the green light to toss up a career high in treys, trade away your best post offensive/defensive player, let a rookie who was drafted in the 2nd round and didn't have a lick of D near him get significant minutes, have your starting center be 6'6" tall, and finally turn the offense over to a streaky undersized point guard and expect your team finished with 15 wins.

Wait...we did all that and won 42?

    The Travesty!

    Yeah, on his head.

He heckled an overachieving team, a general manager who swung an amazing deadline trade, an owner who has bought picks, and the fans who smartly appreciate all three, and he did this just to get page hits.
