[Chronicle] McGrady needs to get his head in the game

    Jerome Solomon, who's been more than fair to McGrady in the past, has some harsh words for T-Mac. Some highlights:

    "If you're on a one-man break, praying for help to make a play, you're no longer a basketball player, you are a basket case."

    "You can't get anything for McGrady right now. His salary is a major issue, and who would take a guy off your hands who admits that he isn't either mentally or physically capable of being a good player?"

    I've seen this attitude all season and many of you have as well. When he's on a break, we wants to pass it up or slow it down. On this dunk attempt, he had no choice but to give it a rip although a smarter player would have just laid it off the glass.

    Instead of trying to make the right play, TSlack is always thinking about how it looks to others. That's pathetic.

    "Mental health professional". What's that got to do with his knee?

    Solomon claims in the article that mcgrady cant finish a dunk because hes a basketcase....maybe it had something to do with the fact that his knee is destroyed.

    No, Solomon claims that McGrady's a basket case because McGrady told him that he was hoping that another Rocket would catch up to him so that he could pass the ball. Solomon's point was that McGrady couldn't finish a one man break, either by layup or dunk.

    Also, the reports about T-Mac's knee are preliminary. There's no real way to know how extensive the damage is.

    Yeah but it's not like the guy wrote the article knowing that T-mac injury could be as bad as it is now.

    If he wrote this article after the MRI results show how bad T-mac's knee is then it would be foolish.
