    Shane Battier

    - Over his last 8 games, Battier has made only 12 of 43 (27.9%) shots from the field and just 5 of 32 (15.6%) from the three point line.
    - Battier's shooting percentage this year is the lowest of his career (37.8%).
    - The good news is that during this slump, Battier's rebounding, defense and assist numbers have stayed the same as his career numbers.

    Aaron Brooks

    - Since becoming the starting point guard, Brooks has had 19 points or more in 5 of 11 games.
    - Brooks is averaging 31.18 minutes per game 13.8 points, 5.18 assists and 2.09 turnovers per game. As Rockets PG, Rafer Alston averaged 33.1 mpg, 11.5 ppg, 5.4 apg and 1.8 turnovers per game. Addition by subtraction?

    Luis Scola

    - According to ESPN's John Hollinger, Luis Scola's "rebound rate" (percentage of missed shots that a player rebounds) is 17% which would rank him 8th amongst NBA power forwards who play at least 20 minutes per game.
    - In 64 games and while averaging 29.7 minutes per game, Luis Scola has 25 double/doubles. Over 53 games and while averaging 32.2 minutes per game, Kevin Garnett has posted 22 double/doubles.
    - Scola has scored 15 points or more in 15 of his last 24 games and had at least 15 points and 10 rebounds in 8 of his last 13.

    Ron Artest

    - Since Tracy McGrady exited the lineup, Artest has shot 48.4% from the field and 51.5% from the 3-point line. I'm just sayin'.
    - Since McGrady's demise, Artest is averaging 20.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
    - The Rockets are 35-16 when Artest plays. In those 16 losses, Artest has shot 9% lower from the field and 15% lower from the FT line than in the Rockets 35 wins.

    that's good to know.

artest + scola have really picked up their games since tracy went down. really proud of those guys. AB is still inconsistent, but he's learning. we shouldn't put too much responsibilities on him though b/c he's so young.

Let me be the first to say that is INSANE how good Artest is playing right now. Shooting 50% from the three, 48% from AND playing awesome defense night in and night out? Where the hell would you find production like that? For the record, Kobe Bryant is only hitting 47% of his fg and 30% of his 3's. WOW is all I can say  The question is of course, can he keep it up? I really hope he doesn't go Luther Head on us and start stinking come playoff time...

Brooks is doing better than I expected. I still think he is too streaky but having Lowry to pick up the slack minimizes Brooks inconsistency. It just seems you either get 20 points from Brooks or practically nothing. Time will tell with him I suppose.

Scola is a beast, so is Ron and Shane is actually showing all the "intangibles" that seemed to be missing in the first half of the season (due to injury I assume).

Since the trade, Aaron has shot 41% on his threes, and 41% on his twos. I'd like him to be a more efficient scorer on his drives to the basket.

This is how it's gone for him in these 11 games:

    Code:

WOW! Scola > Garnett in double doubles?

I wonder how our 4 spot compares to the other 4 spots in the league? Has to be top 5?

So if Artest shoots his average or better we will win the game. I like that stat. Most of the games that he has shot poorly were with Mcgrady in the lineup.

Brooks has not been playing well since he was a starter. He has been slowed down a lot to wait for the half court sets. Maybe he is better playing from the bench. He needs to be in attacking mode every minute on the court.
