could it be?? Gundy reading Clutchfans?? :D

I am starting to believe that JVG feels threatened by DaDaKota's ideas and he feels that DaDa might take his place as the head coach (and his buddy RocketsMac as the assistant coach), so he tried to explain his stance :D

dont break your arm patting yourself on the back for your non-existant influence on the coach's game preperation.

he is referring tot he journalists that write the columns and ask him the questions pre and postgame.
The columnists may ask about the lesser played guys simply cause the hear the fans on sportstalk and the online fnas talking about them.

Like the true realists keep telling yall, the organization aint gonna change their way of playing simply cause a few random fans squawk constantly about their pet player of the season.

If Gundy was reading clutchfans, he would see all the TRADE ALSTON! and ALSTON SUCKS! threads and posts.

Well, I've been calling for Kirk Snyder to play if he's healthy. But that's not "different", for Snyder was playing around 20 minutes per game before he got injured. Down with the Rafer Head backcourt!!!!

This would probobly be the ONLY thing that would cause me to cease being a Rockets fan.

i dont get this really...even jvg says he doesnt like the fit, yet he still doesnt want to change it up, but instead 'work harder.' i know the man is a workaholic and we love his work ethic, but basketball shouldn't be a freaking chore. i see the rockets playing pretty hard, they're just lacking a spark. why not just try some of these guys, especially vspan, and see if they can be that spark. we all know vspan is capable of wrecking havoc on the other team's defense by penetrating at will (see WC, preseason). but yeah, maybe working harder will improve rafer's floater and heal tmac's back enough so he doesn't rely on his jumpshot. or not.

It isn't time to mix up the rotation ... it's time for a trade.

    Just to clarify...

Your post is an opinion and not a hint, correct?

cause he knows once the rockets start winning again, ie after the upcoming dallas the criticism will subside.

Neither do I. The man is just stubborn and strikes me as the type that doesn't like admitting when he's wrong. I don't think putting in V-Span and Snyder for defense or Novak for shooting is blowing up your rotation. It's just Van Gundy not being able to see the big picture.

Right. I do think they will make a trade, but that's purely speculation on my part.

I predict Damon stoudamire, for a package featuring Kevin Willis, Mario Elie, Matt Maloney and a first-round draft pick....unless Portland finds out about it first.

The funny thing about this article is that it is basically a bunch of quotes from the press conference after the Nuggets game.

    Nothing new at all.

And he was not asked direct questions but rather ones that went around the issue.

I am dissappointed in the Houston Chronicle reporters, I wish they would ask harder questions..

    :D

OK, so the $64 question is: who comes (and who goes)?

My feeling #1 - Sura and/or Bonzi will not still be on the roster when the trade deadline passes.

My feeling #2 - they get traded in a package.

My feeling #3 - they go to Minny for James.

My feeling #4 - they go, instead, to Detroit for Dice and Flip (to get AMc they must take FM).

funnily enough, while the frontcourt are putting up the numbers and are playing well. cd and jvg have mentioned getting help at c.

while the board cries pg, rockets are stockpiling in an area that needs little improvement.

Maybe if we could send Maloney and Spanoulis to an evil scientists lab and cross the best of both - we would end up with a white guy who could drive, defend and shoot the three.

His new name would be Vaseline Baloney!

Of course his evil twin Matt Spamoulis would be slow, turnover prone and couldn't hit a 10 footer.

    My apologies Vspan.

Fresh legs in the 4th? Fresh legs in the 4th, Anyone, fresh legs in the 4th?

    :D
