So... what did Dennis Lindsey accomplish here?

I think he had input into the Mobley drafting and the Hayes signing.

No big loss IMO. Lindsey has main job has been working on the draft which the Rockets haven't had success in the past 10 years.

I'd feel more confident about Morey if Lindsey was around to help. I guess it's not like CD is dead or unavailable, thought. Can't say I blame Lindsey if he truly wanted and expected that GM job. Maybe he can bring some of our ****ty luck to the Spurs. :D

Their shared love for foreign players?

    Turkcan, Eliahu, Badiane, Spanoulis...

I hope he does leave, he deserves to be gm.

Why couldn't we make Morey AGM?

He's not going to be the Spurs GM he's interviewing for the same job he has with the Rockets.

It's a no-brainer move. Go to an organization that is hands down the best at drafting and learn from them. Having the Spurs on his resume will definitely help him get a future GM job.

He won't be learning how to, he'll be drafting for them.

Will he be staying on for the next two weeks until the draft is over?

Well, he got passed over by a younger guy, he is the last piece of the Rudy/CD team.

He is making the right career move, but it really hurts the Rockets. He is one of their best talent evaluators if I remember correctly.

Apprently he is leaving immediately. So the draft will fall squarely on Morey and Dean Cooper?
