Not hard to look good after following Charles Crapperly, but he's done a good job so far.

He was smart to limit his options to 2012, knowing full well there won't be a season at all past that.

If he were really smart, he would have signed a 40 year contract, with all the money front loaded for payment before 2012.

he drafts like a freaking champ. mario, demeco, okoye (among others) would all agree if you ask me.

well, you're 1 for 3 on those...you must want casserly back!

you guys are demonstrating homerism at it's finest. rick smith has done nothing even nearly exceptional thus far. the jury is still out on him. to already declare him "the best young gm in the game" is silly. you guys are pimping him because he's the gm of the houston texans.

I'm going to have to agree with cardpire.

Although I can understand the excitement about a seemingly semi-competent GM after the replacement of perhaps the worst GM in the history of the NFL

I've liked what Rick Smith has done so far with the Texans. I believe he's still the youngest GM in the league.

Moves I liked under the Smith Era: Shaub, F.Bennett, W. Demps, A.Davis, Okoye, Alex Gibbs, and Ray Rhodes

Nost so much: A.Green and I'm not to sure about the J. Reeves signing

You're the guy who couldn't even give props to Valverde after he took a ball off of his face. What is your deal, why are you always crapping on anything positive people say when it comes to Houston sports teams?

i'm providing objective doses of reality. i'm allowed to express my opinion and respond to other's opinions just as you are.

and "always crapping on anythign positive"? you just pointed out 2 posts of my 400, and one of them you aren't remembering correctly. i gave valverde props for mentally composing himself, i just said he wasn't physically hurt.

let's not derail the thread though.

No Jacoby Jones on that list?
    No Kevin Walter?
    No Sage?

Everyone was raving about him heading into last season. He got injured and wasn't the same after, sorta like Mario's rookie year. We'll see if he can recover and breakout this season, but no one knew about him until we took him.

My bad on that then, thought we still had Tony Banks when Smith came on.

whatever...i'll still argue that he's the best young KR returner in the league.

if these sarcastic, mocking posts are indicative of your "other 400", then i'm fine listening to judgment based on the 2 more memorable ones..

it's your attitude in some of these posts that is getting to some people. To constantly say "you guys" is pitting yourself against the bbs and saying "at least i'm smarter than the rest of you". It may not be your intention, but that's the impression it leaves.. especially when you follow it by saying you're being objective and everyone else is a blatant homer.
