    From the Rockets Summary

    Rudy T update

Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich on Thursday underwent his first treatment for bladder cancer, Rockets team physician Jim Muntz said.

Tomjanovich, on an indefinite leave of absence, is scheduled for five more weekly treatments and an outpatient procedure, with a second biopsy scheduled for two weeks after treatments are complete. Tomjanovich, 54, was diagnosed with a superficial bladder cancer on March 18.

"Rudy had his treatment today," Muntz said. "He did fine. Everything went well. He's back home taking it easy."

It's sad no one has commentated on this thread. It's wonderful that Rudy is doing well. Keep it up Mr. T! We need you next season to make a run deep into the playoffs (for a championship-contending season in my opinion). Get better Rudy. We miss and love you!

I wish Rudy well. I hope he can come back in the playoffs if we make it and his health allows it.

I hope Rudy is not watching Rocket's game, it's not going to help him recover.

Hopefully Ruday can beat this cancer. That is most important, not wins or losses at this point.

RUDY T AND CD SIGHTING TOGETHER...

land_sharks hitting some golf balls today at lunch (about 1:00) at the West Houston Golf Center (corner of Richmond and Old Westheimer road).

land_sharks had just cranked a 3-iron when he noticed Rudy walking up with CD at his side, stopping about 8 spots to land_sharks right. Rudy was in the process of hitting a big basket of 100 balls and it looked like CD stood behind him, critiquing his swing.

Rudy looked great and he can hit a golf ball. land_sharks whimped out by not saying anything to the two of them, but smiled and nodded when I walked by and CD nodded back. I guess they didn't recognize me. It was pretty cool. I guess I was under the impression that Rudy was resting at home.

He looks well. If you can hit 100 balls, you can coach the Rockets. Come on Rudy T, BRING IT!
