Deng's contract is of Oden Length.

I could see why the Rockets would be unwilling to take it.

Well as long as we don't extend it, we should be fine, right?

Deng is not as much of a chucker as Iggy. Iguodala has a habit of wasting a lot of shot attempts behind the arc and he's really not much better at it than Ariza.

Deng occasionally takes threes but only a fraction as many as Iggy. As a result, his efficiency is way up, especially this season.

He's also a little better rebounder, but he's not nearly as good at creating for others.

On the other hand he is a little younger and less experienced and I think he has more upside than Iggy.

Overall I would be a big fan of acquiring Deng. I just don't want any bad contracts with him.

I like Iggy too, but Mr. Low-Risk will not do that. :(

morey said he would go for the iggy/dalembert trade if the sixers added more young talent. either speights, young, or williams would have to be added (assuming the sixers refuse to part with their first round pick).

for the sixers, they were unwilling to do that because moving iggy and dalembert would start a rebuilding process by which they would put a premium on young talent.

the goals of both teams do not match up. that's why the trade talks have stalled.

Hasn't anyone at the Philly front office heard the phrase "...you can't have your cake and eat it too?"

Neither Ilgauskas or Hickson belong to the Rockets, so who do you have in mind to replace these two Cavs in a Rocket's offer?

couldn't that be said about morey? taking iguodala and dalembert for nothing but tmac is a huge win talent wise for the rockets. the only reason he's asking for one of their young studs is because he's worried about taking on that sort of salary. the truth is, why should the sixers give up any more? sure we would all love it if they did, but it's a pipe dream.

he should take the two players for tmac as is, and be appy he got such a good deal. especially when the alternative is jordan hill or toney douglas.

Deng's contract is better than Iggy's and he is arguably more productive this season in addition to being younger and having more upside.

Apparently morey rejected an offer that included iggy/dalembert and williams for kyle lowry and Tmac. If he did that then he probably doesn't want williams.

Fail on Morey's part if he rejected that trade. That's a good trade.

That is probably the best deal we could have gotten. Prove me wrong Morey!
