Bosh seems like a smart guy. I hope a stats-heavy presentation delivered by Morey, along with recruiting video featuring Yao, Hakeem, Andre Johnson, the Big E, and George Foreman, can make an impact.

No one can say that the Rockets haven't pulled out all the stops to get Bosh.

The Rockets, hoping to land coveted free agent Chris Bosh, plan to pull out every recruiting stop they think might work, from a band of face-painting fans on a week-long road trip to a more direct appeal of a group of Houston sports icons.

They will start with a caravan of fans that hope to escort Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to his first meeting in an unprecedented national road trip they expect will lead them to the location of top free agent target.

They will finish the first salvo with a recruiting video they will leave behind that will feature Yao Ming, Hakeem Olajuwon, Andre Johnson, Elvin Hayes and George Foreman making their case that Bosh should join them in Houston.

In between, Morey will do what he does best.

    He will crunch the numbers.

When Morey begins recruiting Bosh, a person with knowledge of the Rockets plans said Monday that he will do it with his customary and often celebrated levels of statistical analysis, coming armed with a presentation designed to convince Bosh that the Rockets can win championships with him joining forces with Yao, a point Yao no doubt will seek to reinforce in the video.

The Rockets hope that the presentation of Morey’s analysis will demonstrate how the Rockets with Bosh and Yao could compare with past championship teams. Yao, who could choose to become a free agent by opting out of his contract, has not commented on his own plans, but has often indicated his intention to be with the Rockets next season.

Yao and Rockets coach Rick Adelman are expected to be part of subsequent pitches, but the plan is for Morey to make the initial meeting alone.

Bosh will listen to his brand developers. Not Morey. Toronto fans say for years all he has cared about is his brand and not winning. He will push his brand playing with either Lebron or Wade period. He will win 60 games with us,but he cant win a championship with an injured Yao. His best chances to win are with Wade or Lebron.

From his fans he is a nerd and cares more about "image". Thats why he is addicted to tweeting. He tweets what he had for breakfast. He constantly makes videos on youtube. He wanted to play in Hollywood but Lakers turned it down. I honestly believe he has Knicks higher on his list than us even though they are horrible. Sportsbook agrees with me. He would LOVE to be the icon of NY and be on SNL because he actually thinks he is funny. He is in a coming show of entourage and wants to be in movies.

Houston is not a Hollywood town and never will be. Bosh's personality clashes with our city. His playing style might clash also, from what I hear he is a terrible passer and blackhole. (think landry) Id rather have a young Chris Webber but I cant think of any.(maybe scola)

Wasn't he originally going to major in Engineering at G. Tech?

But I still doubt numbers will sway an athlete to joining a team/organization......

Bosh will obliterate Morey's analytics on why they can win a ring with one number.

    Yao's career missed games

Dude, PowerPoint is so 2002. A hip cat like Morey will use Prezi or Glogster or Ahead or at least Animoto.
