I hope that means Yao was goofing around today, because he sure didn't look like he was ready for the season.

T-Mac didn't play in one game but Yao and Battier played in every game. Just a rest for them, nothin' else. I think McGrady should play, alone

what he wanted to say was his fatigue was like in the middle of the season.

Yao just had a bad day. Maybe he had a harder time getting into a rhythm in an offense he's not too familiar with. At least, that's what I think.

I hope fatigue was the reason Yao and Shane were so awful. Stink City.

Since Iavaroni is the Grizzlies coach now I hope this doesn't mean the Rockets will still struggle against teams like the Suns or GSW.

I hope Butler gets a ton of minutes. It's time to get a good look at what he brings.

Several players were below par last night, possibly due to the fact that Mike James was the starting Point Guard. A guard who thinks that he is the star and focuses on his own performance. This is enough to throw anyone off their game!

don't you know, james puts water on the ball and then passes it so everyone can miss, that way he can be the star.

Yao was fatigued man. he was very slow on the court. battier is never tired but it's great to rest him too.

let's experiment with a lineup of james-francis-bonzi-tmac-scola and see how it goes.

but just play tmac the first quarter only.

play our regulars FOR REAL v. the spurs as that is the last game and we use that as a tune up for the lakers game.

I disagree, I think we play all scrubs against the spurs... Don't need any injuries going into the regular season.

if you follow preseason games, teams really only play their starters in the last game of the preseason game b/c they have had no real time together in the preseason since the coach wants to experiment.

most coaches treat the last preseason game as if it was a reg. season game.

u can have injuries in the first game like tmac did in 05-06 after the sacto game. if u play to think of injuries, you'll have injuries.

the spurs will probably play their starters. we want to play our starters b/c really, the first unit has to show they can play the whole game consistently w/ adelman's offense.

we want to pick up speed as fast as possible b/c the first month is brutal.

You can tell the difference between the people who are watching the game and those who are hitting refresh on an online box score, but in Yetti's case I don't think it matters.

what i like about tmac is how we use him so far. not a lot of pick and rolls (sure there are times u still go to that play b/c he draws so much attention). but now u see him in the high post posting up. u see him going around and just shoots (though he only looked to shoot jumpers last night after the first quarter :( ).

adelman is def. not using tmac in the same way JVG used him which is such a great thing.

i see how kobe operates the triangle and sure, he shoots a lot of crazy shots but that's b/c he wants to take those shots. but he's in position where he's at his best.

Superstar doesn't mean he has to carry the ball 90 % of the game. Bein' a superstar is somethin' another.

Damn I hated those pick and rools with Tracy. It always means a pass. Now he's got a lot of post up moves, cuttin' inside, commin' off the picks without the ball. Damn that's the scorer. T-Mac ain't Steve Nash

I like Adelman. He knows what he's doin'. He knows what to do to make T-Mac, especially team better. It's key for us to get as many open positions for Yao and T-Mac as we can.

the pick and roll was PERFECT in that mavs series but then EVERYONE knew that was our bread and butter and adjusted. the mavs did not go to yao in that pick and roll and he was always wide open.

teams adjust and move hayes' man over to guard yao and they have slowed that play down. then we used that play last yr to get 3pt shots, and shot a ton.
