I hold less and less hope for Sura. I love him and he's a warrior, but getting back into shape with rehab is the easy part. Getting back on the court and enduring the pounding your knees and back must take in the nba game is completely different.

Wells is what he is, and that's too bad.

You mean the year and a half layoff wasn't enough?

As far as Bonzi, just tell us what the deal is. Did you guys waste time signing him or are you just continuing with damage control to keep ticket holders coming.

Assistant coach Gundy is what he is. Now can we get a real head coach in here.

On the blog: Good point about Battier. His 'intangibles' were HUGE. And big up David Lee putting up 20/11 starting for the Knicks. Go Gators! If he and Curry and keep up even 1/2 that pace they'll make Isaiah look way smarter than he is.

Credit goes to Sura for working hard. Here's a guy who's been working for more than a year on a nearly career ending injury. It's sad when it looks like he still has a better chance of coming back then Bonzi, who's been 'working hard coming back from laziness' minus the working hard. Watching those Fitness Made Simple videos featuring John Basedow aren't enough buddy, get up for 10 minutes and do the stomach crunches too.

So, the ticket holders are showing up to the games just for the possibility taht they might see Bonzi play?

Soft tissue injuries take time to heal. Major damage to the joints (knees, back) doesn't work the same way. Sura won't ever be what he was again. He's just trying to get back enough to play again. When you have no cartilage in your knee, it's only a matter of time before it's unbareable again. Maybe he can suit up again in 2007, but I don't expect it to last long if he does.

Love Sura, but he should retire. Enough pain, there is really no future in the NBA. Wells, I don't believe anything that is reported on him. We are not getting the truth, I assure you. He may be having various physical issues, but that is far from the whole story.

I agree on your assessment of Wells. Like I've said probably ten times on the BBS, why haven't we heard or seen an interview of Wells by local reporters? This is a fairly big story when it comes to local sports. I don't understand why no one is asking the questions. If Wells won't talk to the media, I'm sure his agent would or someone in the Wells camp would.

Sounds to me like Bonzi has actually been hitting the treadmill, contrary to belief.

If the trainer is saying he has to "back off" the running, then that's a clear indication that he's been doing the running, and it also probably means that it's the running that caused the injury.

Either way, I'm slightly more optimisitc after this article. Whether we plan on keeping him or trading him, Bonzi has to see the floor. I think he can be an asset and everything will be forgotten if he comes back, plays, and we continue to win, but the first step to getting anything out of this signing is Bonzi seeing the floor.
