I dont think this was posted if so, lock it up. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6779319.html Rockets guard Aaron Brooks did not think he earned a flagrant foul for wrapping up Erick Dampier on Friday and did not believe Dampier deserved a technical foul for the elbow that followed. He did, however, seem to believe there was a more violent play in the game. “A flagrant? I don't think that's possible,” Brooks said. “I saw fouler stuff happen in that game than that.” Dallas' Jason Kidd was called for a foul for hitting David Andersen on a screen. Both were given technical fouls. The exchange with Brooks and Dampier led to a video review and Dallas owner Mark Cuban's assertion that he would protest the game for “multiple misapplication of the rules.” “I didn't think a flagrant was necessary, but I didn't think a technical was necessary, either,” Brooks said. “It actually helped them out. They got free throws and the ball back. I don't see how it hurt them.” All I want for Christmas Rockets forward Carl Landry underwent nearly five hours of dental procedures Saturday morning and early afternoon and was ruled out of Saturday's game following his violent collision with Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki, damaging five of Landry's teeth. “They seemed to think by next week he should be fine,” coach Rick Adelman said. Landry needed a root canal and two dental bridges. It was the third time he has lost teeth in his three NBA seasons, having lost one tooth in a collision with Utah's Carlos Boozer and another when running into former teammate Dikembe Mutombo.
You know I didnt see any news of it but did we 'report' that move to the officials? Is that how it is done? How come kidd hasnt gotten a flagrant for that yet???
I think the Rockets' attitude is, "We won. Suck it long, Kidd." Les Alexander has flaws as an owner, but whining has never been one of them.
Whining is one thing but protecting your players is another. Jason Kidd's actions should come with consequences, simple fact.
this is what Cuban is complaining about, for misapplication of rules. that was NOt supposed to be a flagrant foul.
Yeah, that was a dumb call, I can only guess that the blood from Landry and Dirk's collision caused some of the less experienced refs to start panicking because Brooks was right, neither call was legit. Although, I am not that mad at Dampier getting removed from the game .
