LOL! Morey! That's freakin' BOLD if he is going to try to do a S&T for Johnson for Martin and then a S&T for Bosh. What is this, NBA 2k10?
I always had a hunch we might try and swap Martin for Johnson in the offseason. I also have a hunch Morey really likes Martin. I am not sure which I'd prefer myself, probably Johnson if Yao is healthy. Fun times.

In my opinion, despite last year's playoffs, Joe Johnson is better than Kevin Martin. I like Martin as well. But from ATLANTA's perspective, they would totally do a S&T for JJ to get something for losing him. It would be all up to JJ to come to Houston. This to me is a great pipe dream. But if Morey somehow pulled of that deal (Bosh + JJ) then I don't know what to say. With Morey, you never know what to expect, and this totally is not something I would have thought he would try to orchestrate. Just seems too complicated, but you never know.

From the article, it seems Morey is going for JJ first and then try to lure Bosh by promoting AB, JJ, Ariza, Yao. So JJ is the target...interesting.
I've always wanted this guy from the beginning but each article that comes out about him being so public about his decisions starts to annoy me more and more. He's looking like such a diva.
i'm not even sure johnson is an upgrade over martin, and i'm not that big of a martin fan. i guess it would be about the same either way, so if that got bosh here, that'd be nice.
I have a hard time believing any of it, the Rockets are tighter than a dug in tick on whom they are going after. I sometimes wonder if they leak stuff on purpose as a way of marketing. I like JJ but isn't he getting up there in years? DD
Johnson makes his teammates better, he can handle the ball, shoot the 3, and is probably a better closer than Martin. Martin gets to the line, plays within the offense, and is insanely efficient. Its a tough choice. You for some reason mention defense, which when comparing Martin to Johnson, or anyone to Martin for that matter is an irrelevant issue.
I don't think Johnson is a guy Morey would love. He isn't highly efficient though he does create shots. He could play some point and let Brooks do more scoring, which would be interesting.
I've notice this, too. Everyone says the media does not mention Houston at all as a possible destination for Bosh. But when have we ever knew about Morey's moves in advance? For someone who says a lot in public, Morey makes deals that no one sees coming On the Joe Johnson acquisition for to appease Bosh...what kind of message does that send to players if Martin is involved in the deal for Johnson?
