Which did you read and why?

As a kid I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. My dad preferred the Chronicle for reasons unknown. I did like the way the box scores looked in the Chronicle over the Post.

We took the Post and the Press. One in the morning, the Post, and the Press in the afternoon. The Chronicle was considered the conservative rag, so we shunned it like the plague. It sucked, anyway.

I don't know why, but I enjoyed reading the POST more because of its layout. I think I have more POST clippings from them around the '94 and '95 Championships than from the Chronicle.

I liked its special sections more than the Chronicle's too.

I liked the Post sports section better, which was the only section I ever read. It had a better layout

Chronicle. As far as I know Post didn't deliver to my area. It wasn't my decision though.

I bought both during the championship years. I couldn't get enough of Rox coverage, and there was no internet back then.

I agree; the Post's sports section was better. And I believe they had more of my favorite comics. I remember thinking to myself, damn am I really choosing my paper based on sports and comics. lol

We had the Post. It was a great newspaper. I think I still have a copy of the last Post edition printed. From what I recall it just shut down overnight without warning.

Yes, it was a great paper, at least great for Houston. There's a copy of the same paper somewhere at the Blade Runner estate in Southeast Houston.

It's why Tinman sucks IMO. He only posts old Chronicle articles. Never The Post. What a hack.
