From Blinebury's blog: http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2009/01/breakdown_sixers_104_rockets_9.html "Or is this the culmination of all of the trouble, all of the soap opera shenanigans of superstars taking themselves in and out of the lineup or deciding when they will or won't lay it all on the line? "Is this the grumbling and the not-so-subtle finger-pointing that has been going on in the locker room now for the past several weeks coming to a head and spilling over in a volcano of divisiveness and despair?" And further on down: "[Amazing lip reading. Yao is very, very unhappy with his own play and the overall atmosphere surrounding the team. --Fran]" Add this on top of Blinebury's previous reports that other Rockets had "confronted" Tracy about his play and you have to wonder what the atmosphere is inside the locker room right now.
Mabye Doc Rocket was right, and there is more going on inside than what is outside. Personally, I always believe what is reported is only the tip of the iceberg, and if we the fans are frustrated with the Tracy situation, you would have to assume that the other players are as well. DD
I find what he says to be right on point, I think a lot of people do not want to actually hear what is going on, but Fran always puts it as brutally honest as possible. If you take what he says and what Feigen says, and meet somewhere in the middle on the Fran side, I think you get really close to the truth. DD
Something basically to the effect that the turmoil inside the locker room was much worse than what was being shown to the public.
Every locker room have issues, but if you are wining you come with all this reports and ppl wont believe it, but now the team is struggling then wherever you said will stick. A player can say to another man you really suck tonight, a reported hear this and blow it up. All I see on the court is player padding each other on the back clapping their hands saying is ok guys, don't worry keep trying. I saw a bench on their feet went they was trying to make a comeback yesterday.
Usually where there's smoke, there's fire. But for something as serious as a meltdown, I'd have to see it to believe it. I'm not convinced.
I think this locker room issue has been brewing for a month or so. Should have known when they signed Dikembe.
