Nov. 11, 2005, 11:28PM McGrady may play tonight Rockets star reports back OK after workouts By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2005 Houston Chronicle EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J - Just eight days after Tracy McGrady had to be helped out of the Toyota Center practice gym and a week after the Rockets announced he would be out for three weeks, McGrady could be cleared to play tonight against the New Jersey Nets. McGrady went through extensive workouts Thursday at Miami and reported no difficulties with his back Friday morning before going through another session of running and shooting drills Friday night. He was sore after the Rockets' flight from Miami and traffic-stalled, hour-long bus ride from the airport, but that was not considered indicative of any lingering back problems. "We're going to keep him as questionable until after shootaround," Rockets trainer Keith Jones said. "He'll go through a normal shootaround, with some extra rehab stuff. "We're hoping (McGrady will play). If he's feeling good and has done everything today and tomorrow, we'll let him go. Tracy wants to play. He's been pushing since Tuesday and Wednesday, saying he would play (Thursday in Miami). He just was not where we wanted him to be yet."
Why did the earlier thread get closed? Anyways, I think TMAC only brought one suit that's why he'll be in uniform tonight and play only for a minute..
There is no more IR. It's the Inactive list. New rules this year. So you should see a lot less Plantar Fascitis. Source
finally!!! its gettin really ridiculous how these players have "injuries" that when you put it in our language is "i cant play coz i got bit by a mosquito" injury.
I don't think he is.. according to the espn/chron... he had a very hard, full workout before the Miami game and wanted to play.. but the coaches thought it would be better that he sat out. If anything.. he got an extra day of rest.
the tendonitis in his knees only needed rest and recuperation to be ok...that wasnt what was holding him out...it was the bruised back. with the amount of rest his knees have had, Im sure they are fine at this point. until the next time.
It's really sick how good this team could be. After the way we lost the past three games, I was really down and depressed about the team. We could easily be 4-0 right now. I mean, we had leads in all three of the games we lost. When I think about having T-Mac to go to in the fourth quarter, I realize that we will be fine and will not struggle nearly as much to get a basket when Yao start's getting fronted and double teamed.
