http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6360322.html Rockets forward Carl Landry stepped up his rehabilitation routine Sunday after an examination Saturday gave him a green light to “push it” in his rehab from his March 17 gunshot wound. “He’s doing great,” athletic trainer Keith Jones said. “He went to see the doctor (Saturday). The doctor said ‘push it.’ We’re going to push the running and practice (today) and see how he feels. I think he is a little more confident.” Jones said he hopes Landry could be ready to play in Oakland on Friday.
Great news. Wish he could be back for ORL, but that will still give him 4 or 5 games to tune up for the playoffs.
I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge about NBA, but I really can't remember another NBA player or retired NBA player that has been wounded by a gun.
whatever happened to othella harrington? and kenny thomas? and why do the rockets always end up with short, overachieving power forwards like chucky brown, carl herrera?
I hope he doesn't come to back early. We just need him to be 100% for the playoffs. We will need his energy and athleticism.
