From Feigan: Basically, they are talking to every team and interested in every player.

Hayward and Whiteside aren't needed. The former is a slow SF and the latter is too raw, although with some upside. The others are interesting.

Dude, if we could get every player, we would DEFINITELY be contenders. Can you imagine all 450 NBA players next to Yao? We would definitely win 65.

And some of those Amazonians can flat out ball.

Feigen is the master of bull s h i t.

This news says absolutely nothing. He just said that the trade with the wolves is not likely to happen but why. It is not necessary.
The NBA source didn't say houston was close to a deal he just said Houston was pursueing it. So instead of giving us some inside info he is privy to he just says nothing. He even went so far as to say draftexpress is reliable but in this instance they are full of crap.

Total disinformation fed to him by Morey or someone close to him for the purpose of confusing. I don't know if we will make the deal. I am certain Morey will not tell us and I amcertain if he did tell Feigen it would be because he trust him not to say anything. I always felt while Feigen works for the chronicle, he takes his orders from the Rockets. Kind of like will put him under your rule if you keep advertising with us kind of thing. Anyway that was just the stupidiest waste of an article I have read in a while.

While I like the draft prospects every year, I trust DM to find a great player at whichever position he has.

I really think the Rockets benefit more from a veteran player at this point, instead of giving up too much for an unproven rook.

Hopefully DM makes a combo deal.

I think Morey should take the opposite route and get a cheap rookie. If it is truly time to go all in then getting a top 6 pick in a deep draft can do wonders. Think of Duncan, Wade, even Devon Harris all got to the finals before their rookie contract was up, making it a good move. The same could be said about Detroit had they not drafted Darko. Cousins could be our Bosh alternative and he comes like 80 million dollars cheaper. When Cousins rookie contract is up, we'll know everything we need to by then with regards to Yao.

Due diligence my friend, due diligence.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Morey and the crew he's put together for finding talent... I just wish I was on the inside to see how they operate.

I agree. Whats his job anyways? All he does is cover the Rockets, but it seems that dude from Yahoo or Mark Berman is always breaking news first about the Rockets.

Wojanowski dominated the trade deadline, we should really start a thread of his twitter. If draft goes anything like the deadline, Woj's twitter is the best source in hoops right now.

How did Al-farouq drop so low now? Yahoo has him going 14 to Houston....that's the thing about Houston's spot, i feel like someone before houston is going to take a chance on someone projected to go in the late teens and then someone will drop in Houston's lap...

Move up and draft Cousins and nab Rubio too while you're at it. Cousins is gonna be a BEAST!

What about a deal revolving around Lowry and the pacers' #10? They need a PG, Lowry is definitely capable of starting, but not sure how much Bird likes him...

Would Minny be likely to give up rubio to us if we centered a deal around that #10 and our #14? With that they can solidify their 2,3,4, and 5 spots and would only have to worry about developing flynn and sessions at the 1, or trading for, drafting (next year?) or signing a pg.
