Well, it was nothing of substance, but it was something "fun" to read. I like reading other people's opinions. I guess I like reading in general. I think, so far, that it's been a decent post-relationship between the Rockets and Tracy. There haven't been too many negative words exchanged, and I'm hoping it stays that way. Tracy has shown he can still play, but it looks like he was having trouble accepting the downslide that comes with aging. He'll get a fair contract in the offseason. I imagine he'll have to settle for an Antonio McDyess type of deal. 5-6 million a year. If not, he might pull a Spreewell and claim he needs 23 million to feed his family.
i never read anything by richard INjustice but the title waas intriguing.. he made lots of valid points and was a surprisingly good read by his dumb standards.. anyways good piece and we're gona kick ny's ass tomoro it just happens that March 21 is my Bday tomoro, this will be a great Bday gift
Justice just needs to let it go. Enough already. It is obvious you didn't like tmac and/or he didn't you. But he is gone so move on. Another example of the class less ness that sportwriters in general are capable of. They can just keep on writing about their personal vendettas
I said it here first... T-Mac will get hurt tomorrow, and then gets pissed cause he won't be able to stay in the game.
If this is supposed to be a way to get into Tracy's head so he doesn't play well... too late. 0-7 last game.
A hundred different titles you could use and you picked this one. Why don't you come out of the closet and admit you like the word dick.
Or is making a reference to the Dick Tracy comics? At least somebody got it. To the topic, I think the article if pretty even-handed. McGrady isn't out because he's a bad guy. He's out because (1) his contract is ending, (2) he's hurt and will not recover enough to be helpful before his contract ends, and (3) they can get more value out of eating salary with his expiring contract than they can by playing him. Sure, he might be back closer to 100% next year, but he's not signed as a Rocket next year so why waste time rehabbing him for someone else?
I think this is the most interesting part of the article. There have been numerous occasions over the past year where Bosh has been connected to Houston in a not so subtle way by a variety of different writers. I think both Marc Stein and John Hollinger have both dropped one liners about it in their own work, and Clutch's tweet response to the Toronto writer. I know it's not unusual for message board types to speculate about "random" ideas, but it's fairly rare for multiple unrelated sources to comment about unsubstantiated things like this. Can't help but wonder if word of mouth around the league is that Bosh really wants to go back to his home state. I guess time will tell.
Yes... funny thing about the wink. What's Justice winking at? Or is he referring to Steve Francis? What Clutch tweet response to what Toronto writer? WHAT?
