good to see RA holding guys accountable

AB played a great game but man he play probably the worst defense i have ever seen (if you could even call it defense) on that particular play and it cost us the game...had AB just stayed within 3 feet of blake that pass would not be there and Kobe would have been hung up in the air.

hope he learns from this and we dont have to repeat this next time the team is in that situation

Aaron Brooks growing into a leadership role. Nice to hear. It's a testament to how far he has come that we are picking on a defensive lapse in a 24 point 9 assist game by a Rockets PG. I don't think any Rockets fan would have imagined we'd have such a productive PG two years ago when Rafer Alston was our mainstay.

AB blew it on that last pass.

And Kobe was not even passing it to Blake, it was a bad pass to Gasol, that is what it looked like.

If Ab is moderatly close he steals that and it is game over.

That being said....if Yao or Luis would have hit any number of the 1 foot shots they missed...the game would have been over already as well.

This is the biggest concern I have with Yao's limit.....Yao stunk on offense but his D and rebounding last night made a big difference.

I thought the defense actually looked pretty good for long stretches... things sort of went to hell late in the third when an exhausted Brooks was out there with Miller, Lee, Hayes, and Budinger and no one seemed to have any clue what plays to run. The turnovers and bad shots piled up in a hurry, and the Lakers ran the ball and found Shannon "****ing" Brown open like four times in a row. Just like that, the Rockets' lead was gone and the Lakers were in a groove with a sold-out crowd behind them.

The defense (and offense) recovered enough to get the lead back, but a couple of breakdowns in the defensive rotations (along with more missed shots) was all LA needed to yank the W back.

AB NEEDED to watch his man and he feel asleep, wrong time wrong place for that to happen.

On the positive note, nine assists are fantastic to see and what I look most at when judging Brooks. When AB has assist, it means the ball is moving and people are getting involved instead of dribble dribble dribble...etc.

Yeah,u cant be in between in situatkons like that. When i watched it again, it almost appeared to go to gasol, but he let it go.

On a side note, has adelman ever diagramed a sideline out of bounds play tht worked?

Maybe he can hire Rudy T to be "out of bounds play diagram coach" (OFBPDC). Rudy seemed to always do well with those.

All AB needs is a backup who can spare him some rest.

AB played 41 minutes. That was something should not happen.

i think he was passing to blake...if you look at blake's feet he started to shuffle them to get ready for the shot ahead of time...also, i think, about a minute or so before that Kobe was talking to Blake during a free throw and was telling him where to go. Im guessign Kobe spotted something, maybe Brooks coming down too much and told Blake to flash up top.

Brooks need to recognize Blake is nothing but a shooter....don't worry about him driving to the basket.

That's the time you need Mister Kyle Lowry in the game.

If Yao didn't foul out last night, it didn't look like rick was going to sub him out or perhaps he was just waiting for him to use his last foul.

Either way, do you or anyone think Rick will experiment with Yao being in the second half of 4th quarters to close out games?

There is no limit per say.

The whole media including national and local is blowing it out of proportions, even Morey is.

I truly believe if Yao hadn't fouled out, he would have played at least 30 mins. that game.

Rick didn't seem inclined to pull him out the way I saw it.
