Robert Boudwin, who portrays Rockets mascot Clutch, was voted the sports mascot of the year by the industry Web site's gameops.com's 2003 awards. He was tied in the voting with Mark Taylor, who portrays the Seattle SuperSonics' mascot Squatch. All college and professional mascots and characters are eligible for the award. "It's neat," Boudwin said. "It felt great. The thing that makes me feel the best is getting laughs at the games. "But this is nice because most of the people that vote for this are your peers, people in the industry, other mascots, people like your bosses, directors of game operations and creativity and marketing. It's nice to be noticed by your peers." First he gets the best seat in the house where he can dog on the opponents, then he gets a hottie wife, now this. Some guys have all the luck.
i think one of the funniest things in sports is when mascots fight each other. remember that old commercial with the fighting mascots? i think it was snickers. man i would love to see the nba mascots just get into huge fight, it would look like a cartoon come to life. im pretty sure clutch would get owned by most of the other mascots,
