Ok last what if thread but this one pretty much lays out everything for us. There are some of us who like to play the "what if" Game so here you go:
are we really playing much differently than we were 10 games ago? i dont think we've peaked. we've been playing at this level the past 15 games. and guess what, in those 15 games we lost twice against the jazz. the rockets havnt changed and neither have the jazz. they're still the one team that gives us a mismatch nightmare. if we draw the jazz, say hello to another first round exit.
How much easier would the Rockets be breathing if the Lakers beat the Jazz tomorrow night? This team just has to go out and take care of business like they've done over the past month. One more game. One more win. Let's get it on!
i dont think the lakers want to face utah on the first round....so they just gonna profit the game blah
The way the Jazz have been playing especially on the road, very little chance they beat LA in their house. Unlike us they matchup very well with Utah.
i dont think the rockets are thinking of anything besides the division title. beat the mavs and hang a banner. it's that simple. not to mention home court advantage. i'd bet any amount of money they're not even thinking of the lakers/jazz game.
and I'll bet you two banners that the last thing on the Lakers mind is losing to the Jazz so that they don't have to play them in a first round match 1/8 matchup...
we better win on wed.........otherwise i see a very real possibility of starting on the road @portland.
I think this is truly the most likely. I may be wrong, but it looks like Denver wrapped up the #2 right? I know they wrapped up the division, guaranteeing them either the 2 or 3 seed, but since they have a better division record than the spurs or houston, then they clinch the #2?? I think... If that's true they are likely to rest their guys, pretty much giving Portland an easy victory. LA probably rests their guys also, giving Utah the victory. It's all up to Houston now...
denver does not have it wrapped up yet, we can still get it if we beat dallas and if portland beats denver
I think this may be the second most likely, blazers win for the reason i posted before, and with the spurs being undermanned and the Hornets coming off a terrible loss and looking to go into the post season on a winning note, they could try extra hard and pull it off. with Houston playing away and Dallas playing well lately, houston may lose a close one. This result isn't bad at all either, spurs should still be a favorable matchup, although not as much as the hornets, but the second best for houston.
ahh that's right, i forgot the head to head record breaks the tie before the division record, and we beat denver 3-1 this season...i dont know why i even try to think about this, im just going to wait
The biggest game of the regular season this year is coming up on wed. We better bring our A game cause we knew mavs want to win a big game at home before going into the playoffs. I think spurs and blazers are going to take care of their business at home, if we lose next one we will probabily lose our HCA.
